I don’t cut close to the quick mostly bc my cat moves a lot so I don’t want her to jolt as I’m cutting but our eldest cat reacts the worst, on the bright side our male cat is pretty chill when we cut his nails and tends to get sleep as we’re cutting them

I honestly don’t know why he gets sleepy, his sisters both freak out but he’s just chill like that sometimes
Differences in personality I guess.
Maybe, our youngest cat tends to be the best behaved but she’s been misbehaving lately, and our oldest cat (who isn’t spayed) tends to be the worst but I chalk some of it up due to her age and not being spayed
