I heard that they might help watering the crops, or feed the animals.
But i've been married to Penny for three years now, and all she does is give me some breakfast every now and then. And go out to the town to teach those kids. And when she is home she keeps saying "Oh this would be such a great place to raise childeren, i would've been so happy"

Considering there's a double negative, I think the literal meaning would be "toxic marriages always do some harm" even if the tone when saying it might suggest a person thinks otherwise.

I don't think Emily or Haley do but it has been a while since I played with either of them - Emily might have filled the pets water bowl.
Abigail might do but I've got all my crops under sprinklers so she says something like "I was going to help but It's already done! You've really got this place under control!" while she doesn't collect the milk/eggs etc or fill the pet's bowl
