Animals show if they need to be pet

Hi I spend a lot of time trying to pet all of my animals in started valley so they dont lose hearts but I can never tell what pets have been pet and not pet meaning I always miss a few so I think it would be nice if there was a indicator above the animals showing if they had been pet or not sorry if this has been suggested before

As I mentioned in another post, why not show empty heart icon above the animal that was not yet petted. Once you pet it, the icon goes away, easy to spot who still needs your attention. Make the icon optional - put an on/off toggle in options - since some players might prefer it hidden.

Might take it a step further even: after the minimum of displaying petting needs, it'd be nice if some form of going the extra mile or automation could be implemented. The semi-daily petting needs are a big limitator on getting a lot of animals and/or making a business out of raising them.

Some thoughts:

• A brush to score extra affection points daily (equivalent in use/purpose to all the fertilizers available to plants)
• A ring or something else you can keep on you to create a friendship aura, generating the effect of petting if you're just near an animal.
• Capybaras to automate the effect of petting with the same friendship aura effect as the second point. Don't know whether these should live in the barns/coops or whether it should be a separate animal like the horse which home you need to strategically place.
