Windows Ostridge egg bug

I have an older Stardew save and i am working to getting 100%ing the game. I have already collected all 130 golden walnuts on ginger island i i went to go get the Ostridge egg. The issue is when i looked at journal scrap 10 and went to the spot and tilled the dirt with my hoe nothing happened. the dirt got tilled but nothing dropped so i thought maybe i did it in the wrong spot so i tilled every spot of dirt i could find nearby the tree and got nothing. so i tried restarting the game and my pc, nothing. I cant think of anything.

Since you already have all 130 walnuts, you must have dug in that location before. Ether you didn’t pick up the egg out you might have lost it somewhere.

you can find another ostrich egg in the volcano treasure chests, but it’s pretty rare.

weird thing is i dont think i touched that spot since i got the golden walnut. my best guess is that my game is bugged since i made this save file about 3 or 4 years ago and it got a little corrupted :/

You get the egg at the same time as the golden walnut. You do not need to dig there more than once.

If you think the reason is that the save file is corrupted you can upload your save file here so that someone can look into it.

When you make a post there is an "Attach files" button on the bottom left. If you need help finding your save file, you can check out this link: https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Saves#Find_your_save_files.

The save file folder will have a name like "JonSnow_123456789" but with your character/farm name. You can upload the folder's contents here.
