If 1.5 only added one new feature, what would you want it to be?

Hey @Prathip, since we are only able to moderate English here I'll have to ask that you stick to English going forward.

Also just a quick note that you'll need to remove the space between / and quote for quotes to render correctly :)

I'm sure 1.5 will have at least two or maybe even three new features in it. But if it was only going to have one, and you got to decide, what would you add to the game?
The ability to toggle monsters on your farm on or off at beginning of map creation.

Personally what I want most is a way to slow time in the game and make the days last longer. I know this isn’t a feature for everyone but that’s why it would be optional, and I also know that there are concerns about it letting players finish the game early but that’s why I think it would make for a great end game only feature. For example, a hard to get item you can only get after you finish the Community Center or Joja’s, like the Gold Clock.

I know that tons of players would love a feature like this, myself included :) And there are so many players who have stopped playing who would come back for this, I have taken long breaks because of the fast days too. It would just go a very long way to making the game more relaxing and immersive for many of us ^^ Taking the time to go to the bathhouse, explore, enjoy the scenery, or role play is skipped so much because of how fast time flies, and although it’s good for certain play styles it’s not for others. And a lot of us, like me, play on console where we can’t use mods (though maybe someday), and a lot people understandably aren’t comfortable using mods.

I also know that some people think it would be hard to implement but I really don’t think it would be. I think a couple good examples are games like the newest Harvest Moon which is Trio of Towns, and Zelda Majora’s Mask. If you slow time in those games it doesn’t affect the villagers’ schedules, things still happen at the same time and nothing is in slow motion or anything. And in Trio of Towns where you can slow time by eating certain meals, you can’t do so until very far in the game so it doesn’t seem like you’re handicapping yourself by not using it, and you won’t finish the game any quicker then intended, which are some problems with it being there outside of endgame.

I think another clock that the wizard sells would be a great idea, though I don’t think it should cost more then maybe 1 or 2 million. That’s because a good amount of the players who would like this feature don’t play for high profits, and forcing them to would ruin the experience which is never good and defeats the purpose. Instead I think it could cost a lot of rare items in addition to the gold, like iridium bars, diamonds, and maybe a prismatic shard. Maybe it can be a rainbow or purple clock :) I also think it’s important to be able to turn it on or off, it can always wait until the next day loads to adjust.

My second choice for a feature to add would have been being able to take your spouse for a walk. They could follow you around, similar to how Pikachu does in Pokémon Yellow, and have dialogue for different areas. And maybe a furniture item, like a coat or hat rack for example, could be used to initiate the walk. I think that this alongside the new movie theater would improve the end game and marriage immensely, but without a feature to slow time I wouldn’t really be able to enjoy it. So as much as I want this I had to pick slowing time ^^ Thanks for reading!

I would love the children to be able to grow up. It's the one non-moddable thing that still bugs me about the game. The kids could do chores and maybe have heart events? There could be like three different child personalities that your kid would get assigned randomly and every couple years you could have a new thing unlocked. They could at least pet the animals for you. I would also like to be able to celebrate their birthdays! or at least have it on the calendar.

The big pull in stardew valley is, indeed, the connection between the NPCs and the farmer(s). There, indeed, needs to be more, as well as more varied conditions for interactions. Certain interactions can be explored much, much further, (like a certain 10❤ event with a certain group of people). Also, dialogue surrounding the bachelor(ette)s seems to be far more friendly than with on marriable characters at equivalent levels, which is awkward at the very least. Some of the choices in the game seem to imply that the goal was to allow experimentation with certain outcomes and mentalities, like you would in many open world RPGs, but the results of these choices barely manifest, like who you marry should play out a bit more, especially given that every character ultimately has "something wrong" with them that could ultimately lead to marriage problems down the line, even if that manifests as a certain buff/debuff in the game more than dialogue, it would bring home the consequences of choices you make. Takin' someone's significant other? I expect some of the guys and girls to come into conflict with you over this, or even their parents.

Stardew valley has some end goals, some really expensive prizes for the end, but you'll run out of dialogue and story content long before you would ever really get to them. Ultimately, the game mostly feels short if you attack the story, and certain goals feel like the world is really, really dead afterwards (like marriage). I haven't played since the new caves came out, but that was another one. You find yourself busy the whole time you're playing, but then suddenly after certain goals are met, everything just completely comes to a halt, and all you're really doing is grinding for that expensive gizmo that's for Quality of Life improvement for the life that's pretty much over other than spending 10 real life minutes doing your daily tasks right before going to bed.

One thing that gives me the willies is that if your rabbit is happy enough, it will chop off one of its feet for you. And continue hopping happily around as if nothing even happened, not even limping or trailing blood across the floor.

I really can't get over that. It makes me ironically want my rabbits to be unhappy.

So how about if that changed? Maybe happy bunny could give you a brightly decorated egg? Lots of cultures decorate eggs and connect them with rabbits as a fertility thing, so it could work. Or it could bequeath you with a special, gorgeous and expensive flower - like maybe a rare orchid.

Rabbit's foot is a reference to real world "lucky rabbit's foot" which are not actually rabbit feet, anymore. It comes from american folk magic, with the suggestion that the left foot of a rabbit found in a graveyard might be the rabbit of a witch, thus it will protect you. Now days, they're made from loose fur, which could be extracting from a rabbit living or dead. In theory, your rabbit just has clumped fur that fell off when you pet it or rubbed off itself. You can buy these right now on amazon, and i think it would be very illegal in the USA to ship an actual muffiied foot of a dead animal in the mail.

That may be, but I'm referring back to the Dark Ages of my youth, when the "rabbit's foot" was a real, actual rabbit's foot. Grotesque.

I like your version much better. I shall try to think of my bunnies working hard over lamplight, late at night in their coop while hens, ducks, and farmers sleep and dream, to painstakingly craft lovely gifts for me out of their painlessly cast-off fur.

Still, I think a rare orchid would be nicer.

There are some really interesting story lines in SDV. Marnie and Lewis, Kent's PTSD, Abigail's parentage, and probably some others that I'm not thinking of right now. I would like some exploration of these. We know enough to feel invested, and then... nothing.

*Spoiler Warning*

When the new house for Penny and Pam is purchased can Linus please have their old trailer? It wouldn't affect his lifestyle, be an improvement on his tent, be an example of charitable giving in the community and would make a fantastic cut scene for Linus.

I'd like my kids to get a little bit older so I could talk with them, maybe with randomized personalities. I mean, with real kids you never know what you're going to get. Mostly I'd just like to see poor Elliot realize his son has the IQ of a plum. If I can't have that, then I want the option to be a total jerkface and break up existing marriages. I don't care about Caroline or Robin. I want my hunky stud of a farmer to seduce George away from Granny. Just because no one would see that coming. Especially George.

A beehive update! An update where the importance of beehives and bees is increased would be nice to see. I would love if we can have bees on farm and your honey is depended on the amount of bees you have and it can be expanded further. Something more akin to fish ponds.
I love bees so much, seeing this made me so happy
