If I buy a duck and incubate the first duck egg I get, will that result in two ducks who lay eggs on alternate days?
You would have to harvest and put the egg in the incubator ASAP in the morning and then 5 days later check your incubator at after midnight by as many minutes as it took you to get the egg into the incubator that morning 5 days before. It'll be tight. Otherwise you'll have 2 ducks laying on the same day.If I buy a duck and incubate the first duck egg I get, will that result in two ducks who lay eggs on alternate days?
@.@ Oh dear. Maybe I'll just stick to one duck.I have three ducks, two were incubated. I put both eggs in the incubator as soon as I found them. Two lay on one day, one on the other.
Wouldn't it be simpler to just wait one day to incubate the egg? Or would that not work for some reason? I haven't actually checked the incubation times. You would have to harvest and put the egg in the incubator ASAP in the morning and then 5 days later check your incubator at after midnight by as many minutes as it took you to get the egg into the incubator that morning 5 days before. Hardest part of this is finding two consecutive days when Marnie is actually open to sell you ducksOr, of course, just buy another duck the second day.)
Well, that part is easy. She's only closed on Monday and Tuesday. And since her days off are consecutive, it should also work if you buy one on Sunday and the next on Wednesday. (I am aware of the Marnie hate but totally do not get it. I do agree she could do much better than Lewis, though.)Hardest part of this is finding two consecutive days when Marnie is actually open to sell you ducks
Well, yes, if you collect the egg in the morning, you could wait a full day to incubate the next one.Wouldn't it be simpler to just wait one day to incubate the egg? Or would that not work for some reason? I haven't actually checked the incubation times.
