Switch [HELP] Unable to water multiple tiles at once on Switch?

Hi, I'm fairly new to Stardew, and today I learned that you should be able to water a line of three at once using the copper watering can. Is this possible on switch?

Yes, if you hold down the button it should show the upgraded reach.

Hold down the key to charge up your tool (if it's upgraded). Should be Y on Switch.

If you tap the button, you water one square. If you hold it down, it charges up and you will see three green squares extend in a line ahead of you. When you see that, release and you'll water those three. Another upgrade and you can do a line of 5... and when charging, you'll see the line of 3, then it'll charge more and you'll see the line of 5. You can let go when it is a line of 3 or wait for it to go to 5. (The same applies after further upgrades with larger areas too.)

i play on computer, and the green squared doesnt show up when i hold it, it just keeps watering one tile multiple times.

is this for switch only?

No, absolutely not. This is part of the game for everyone, but you have to upgrade your tools. Water cans and hoes, when upgraded, can water more space with one watering for every platform.
