IPad, i am dissappointed

The game as such is lovingly designed. Unfortunately, it crashes frequently.
Essential parts (boat, ginger island) are missing on the ipadOS. This is a major flaw for a game that has to be paid for, especially since it is not pointed out before the purchase.

Hello Ukulele and welcome to these forums.

I would not say that content elements brought by update 1.5 (boat, Ginger Island...) are essential parts of the game as the game was already fully playable before (and enjoyable as proven by the millions copies sold). I'd rather say that they are very nice additions that were added for free on top of the full game you paid for (that already includes other previous free updates like update 1.4). But this discussion that occurred several times here will soon be meaningless as the update 1.5 is expected to be released on Android phones, iPhones and iPad this week or the next. And I'm sure you will agree that this is great news!

As for the frequent crashes you are reporting, I'm sorry to read that. I'm playing on iOS too (on iPhone though) and I have close to no crash at all with the game. So, I suggest you make a bug report in the dedicated forum and see if someone already got similar issue or can help. Any details on how the crashes happen and can be replicated would also greatly help.

There is supposed to be an iPad update this week which will give us iPad users access to Ginger Island

You’ll be playing on an older device, it’s the device not the game. I had an ancient iPad which crashed 2-3 times a day and nothing else of mine has ever crashed.

The boat and ginger island aren’t essential parts of the game, they are free dlcs ca gave out and poured his heart and soul into without even charging a cost.

1.0 is the full game, everything else is added content and could perfectly be paid for. Not having it is no one’s fault, least of all his as if you tried to look at any update whatsoever regarding mobile you would see the effort the dude puts into the mobile port and how soon it’s arriving.

The iPad is a 2018 Pro. It freezes and then crashes. I will send bug reports in the future.

I used to play on an older iPad. If you close the game and restart it after every day, it works just fine. Annoying, I know, but at least it’s cheaper than buying a new device.

I was playing on a 2012 iPad and nothing I could do would save that from crashing a bunch.
