Solved Can’t upgrade tools?

I’ve upgraded my pickaxe and axe to gold, and everything except my scythe and watering can to copper, now for some reason when I try to upgrade those two tools, it won’t let me? It’s almost like it doesn’t register the scythe as a tool, I double checked and I

definitely have the copper bars and the money, help please this is literally driving me insane

you need to bring the tool you want to upgrade with you, there's no tools other than the scythe in your inventory in this screenshot :) plus you can't upgrade the scythe at Clint's. you can get a second, golden scythe, in a different way though https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Golden_Scythe
