PC [BUG] Since Update Multiplayer Not Working

After my game updated I am unable to get multiplayer to work. I boot up in online co-op mode but I don't get an Invite code and I can't directly send an invite, nor can anyone join my game directly, or at all for that matter. I am playing on Steam, I am successfully logged in and Stardew is not being blocked by the firewall. I have rebooted Steam and I have verified the game file integrity. I am not playing with any mods.

Hey skithien, are you still having this issue? If so, do you have some time to try to help us diagnose the issue?
Hi, my girlfriend and I are also having a similar issue along with a multiple of our friends. We have all tried multiple times with restarting steam, stardew Valley, our pc and yet we still can not play multi-player together. We have even uninstalled and downloaded the legacy version and the normal game multiple times, yet no luck. We made sure that no firewall was blocking the game and we all bought the game directly from steam. When one of us hosts, there is no option to change the multi-player server mode to online. We are able to invite each other via invite code or join each other through steam but we keep getting an connection failed error code. I then tried opening the game through the game files in the game directory at the same time I already had a game opened through steam. I would then close the first game (the one opened through steam) and play the game opened through the game directory. When I do this, I have the option to change the multi-player server to online, but then there is no way for me to invite anyone as there is no friends only mode or invite only mode. Is there any way to fix this as I would love to play multi-player with my friends. Thank you!

My issue matches @skithien My honey and I tried to play co-op for the first time this evening so we're not familiar with the process. Wiki says,

Build a cabin for each new player in single-player mode. check
Save and exit to the title screen. check
Open the save file via Co-op instead of Load to let other players join.
Um, okay, but when I open the save file it simply opens the game, and there's nothing visible to let me send an invite code or IP address.

If it makes a difference, she's playing on a Steam download and mine is GOG.
