Hmm I heard f this happening if your barn is full
The barn isn't full though. Only 2 cows, and two sheep. My other barn is full, but I'm not putting it in with my pigs, or even with my coop animals.Yes, what @Zen_the_Ogre said. You should only receive this message if the barn/coop is already full. Either you need to upgrade it (so that there is more space) or you need to relocate or sell an animal from that barn/coop in order for there to be space.
Is the barn upgraded to a Big Barn or Deluxe Barn? A regular barn can only hold 4 animals. The barn isn't full though. Only 2 cows, and two sheep. My other barn is full, but I'm not putting it in with my pigs, or even with my coop animals.
Yes.Are you playing with mods?
Both barns are fully upgraded, as is the coop.Is the barn upgraded to a Big Barn or Deluxe Barn? A regular barn can only hold 4 animals.
Fully upgraded, and it's not a coop. What type/size barn do you have? Make sure it's not in a coop.
It's probably the mods then. Are all the mods safe to unload and can you try starting a day without them, or is your save file no longer compatible with vanilla?Yes.
Are you playing with mods?
Well, since we've verified all the obvious stuff and know you're using mods now... are you able to provide a SMAPI log? (I won't be able to do much with it to help further, but ideally someone else can.)Yes.
Vanilla should still be fine, but I don't like playing vanilla Stardew, the character is too slow. It's probably the mods then. Are all the mods safe to unload and can you try starting a day without them, or is your save file no longer compatible with vanilla?
I don't know how to provide a log..I've got 67 working mods, I can take some off, ones I don't need.Well, since we've verified all the obvious stuff and know you're using mods now... are you able to provide a SMAPI log? Okay, wow... 67? I can't even begin to help you. Maybe you should start here: How to ask for help. This walks you through a lot of the troubleshooting you should do and tell you what information you'll want and how to get it, so that you can get the help you need.I don't know how to provide a log..I've got 67 working mods, I can take some off, ones I don't need.
Then yeah I'd unload them all and start the day, see if the Ostrich hatches. If it does not, try going to sleep (assuming you're at the point where you can waste a day comfortably) and see if it hatches after having gone to sleep without mods loaded. At minimum it's important and helpful from a diagnostic standpoint because it'll verify if the issue is or is not resolvable by disabling or removing any specific mods without having to troubleshoot what mod specifically might be causing the issue. However if the gamble pays off and the Ostrich hatches, either the 1st day or the 2nd, you can then just go to sleep again to save, then reapply your mods. You shouldn't need to keep them disabled forever (assuming I'm right in my guess), just long enough to get it to hatch. If that doesn't work then as imnvs said you're not likely to get any further without having a SMAPI log and the dedicated assistance of someone familiar with troubleshooting off of those. Best of luck!Vanilla should still be fine, but I don't like playing vanilla Stardew, the character is too slow.
Someone found that one mod is the problem, so I'm not going to use said mod. Means I won't have dragons, but the trade off is an ostrich. Then yeah I'd unload them all and start the day, see if the Ostrich hatches. Edit: It goes without saying but I'm saying it anyway - BACK UP your save file before trying to start the day with the mods unloaded, just in case. If the Ostrich hatches, BACK UP your save file SEPARATELY before reapplying the mods and trying to start the day. Any of the following are possible, and you want to have the ability to undo as needed: The save file could fail to load without the mods, it could become permanently corrupt after sleeping and saving a new day even after reapplying the mods, the Ostrich hatching may (due to whatever presumable conflicts exist) result in the save file being unable to be loaded once the mods are reapplied, or any of a host of other things. Any of those results tells us something and is not the end of the world, as long as you have the ability to restore your save!
Glad you got it sorted out!Someone found that one mod is the problem, so I'm not going to use said mod. Means I won't have dragons, but the trade off is an ostrich.
