PC Help! Golden Walnuts on Farm not Popping

I'm not sure what the chance is for a harvested crop to yield a golden walnut, but I've harvested hundreds and hundreds of crops. Not a one has resulted in a golden walnut. I've almost gotten all the walnuts at this point, except these. Are there certain spots on the farm where you're supposed to harvest from to get them? Certain crops?

The only thing I grow out on the island that can result in golden walnuts? Taro. I plant 10 at a time, and always next to the river. When I harvest, I replant... and then, when Caroline asks for 100 taro (because I refuse to give her 100 pineapples, and I hate the grind for ginger), I expand and do 100 in one go. By then, I've usually got this one done.

Brilliant. Thank you so much. I feel silly now after going back so much for the strawberries. I'll go grab my taro tubers now. C:

It also may not work in multiplayer when not the host, although I can't confirm it, because I hadn't harvested too many valid crops, although as soon as the host began harvesting valid crops, 2 walnuts appeared.

Other walnuts that do not appear in multiplayer if not the host are ones that require digging up with a hoe (specifically not secret note ones), as well as the one with the gem birds.
