How about a bullwhip

I just posted in the Games Discussion forum about my favorite hat being the fedora, giving my character an Indiana Jones feel, when it struck me that a bullwhip would be a great weapon to complete the look.

But a whip should work as weapon too. So maybe then it could work similar to Slingshots, over a distance!?
As much as I like Indiana Jones I wouldn't like to have a non working whip just for the look.

Yeah, I was imagining a functional whip, not just a decorative one.

Yeah a whip would be pretty cool. Maybe it could be the way to reach those monsters who crouch behind a rock, when it keeps autoselecting my sword instead of letting me pickaxe.
