Why, Trash Bear, Why?

Similar to the thread where I mentioned the red snapper being requested in winter, the darn trash bear wants squid ink ravioli and what are the chances that I get that exact dish from the saloon? (I'm no where near level 9 combat)

He will eventually ask for something else instead if you can't get it. And after you give him everything he requests, you don't get to see him again! So take your time.

The good news is that Squid Ink Ravioli uses squid ink that can drop from Squid Kids in the mines. The bad news is that it also requires a tomato (summer crop).

As for not being at Combat Level 9, you can gain a lot of combat advancement in Skull Caverns. Just bring a lava katana (unless you have a galaxy weapon already) and go whatever days you can. Don’t even have to wait for high luck days, you can just enter level 1, kill everything, exit and repeat.

That's fantastic advice, but I've barely even been to the desert, let alone the mines.

I thought that was only for seasonal items. Also doesn't he come back every spring?

The quarry mine is good for raising your combat skill. So are the ice levels in the mine. The best boots and sword you can get, and any ring or food that adds defense, attack, or immunity, will also help.

I could not get fiddlehead risotto, eventually he asked for clam chowder instead. Try checking trash cans- he's trash bear! I found 2 of the things he wanted in trash cans.

When you fill all his requests, he does his big cool thing, and does not return. So sometimes, I don't give him anything! :smile:
