it's in the very back next to the rock wall and wayyy to the left next to a smol unbreakable rock, dig the area with the hO and you can find a treasure chest worth 5k gold

i know bc there's a secret note telling of the location, and yeah i figured someone else might benefit from the info lol

Unfortunately I believe you need to find the secret note in order for the item to be there.

There's nothing about that in the 1.5.1 changelog, no.

Yeah, I tried all the secret places pretty early on in my second playthrough as I'm a cheaty sneakerpuss but nothing was there. Well... fine! I didn't want that stupid ugly green Strange Doll in the first place.

Which brings up the interesting thought that the persons who are planting the Secret Notes are active during our in-game playtime. There was a thread here a few months ago speculating on the identity of the Note planter(s) but I don't remember if this angle was addressed. I was in one of my uninspired moods then so had nothing to contribute but when this comes up again, I at least have an angle to pursue.

This is very interesting indeed. I doubt it'd be Krobus since he gave you the magnifying glass in the first place, but he also can't exactly be excluded. The mayor and Marnie are probably excluded as well, unless they're just closet exhibitionists and wanted you to catch them again (heart scene).
