“Last Night I had the strangest dream….”
My farmer Gilraen was running around when the landscape became snowy. Suddenly she was at the Festival of Ice. The crowd had gathered not to fish, but to watch Alex & Haley put on a wonderful figure skating display. Gilraen was enchanted, and travelled onwards when the display was over.
The season shifted again, either to spring or summer. The moss had arrived.
But such moss! Her initial reaction was dismay since she no scythe. but she took heart from the bright sunlight, and discovered that this short, dense moss could be rolled up like turf. Back at the Cindersap Forest, which had grown to ten times its size, more marvels waited. There were clearings full of apple trees laden with many apples. Other clearings were filled with mushroom trees. These also lined the the many paths. Yet other clearings were filled with miniature moss trees, with spindly trunks that could be broken off with a satisfying crack.
Then the tiny, friendly moss faires appeared, replenishing harvested moss and leaving more marvels in their wake.
