Decided to indulge in some 'magic' activities before Winter Star 6. My final one before I move on to new files on other farms.

House Main Year 6 Day 28.png

Day 28 of Year 6, final send off of my house, although I might replace the 2 table-top items in the adventure room in the south with the two artifacts that Abby likes: ancient sword and bone flute. (I'm mainly spending my last day breaking open all my stored artifact troves and geodes, and I've got hundreds of the latter. Since he's an upcoming marriage candidate, it's only fair I throw him a bone with a few hundred geodes and troves and boxes, right?)

The final appearance of my meadowlands farm, which I've been active with off and on since 1.6 first dropped. I also added some designs in the upper left corner to reference a few of my favorite other franchises. Any guesses what they are?

(The two closest to the plank however are actually of me and Abby, maybe in the desert, the straw hat being the Egg Festival prize, which I should think about letting her win sometime in a future save. The mannequin next to the desert shed above those mannequins is essentially wedding day Abby)

It's looking great! Especially the indoor decoration. Can't really guess about the other franchises though.

To complete the set, I will also add my designs on Ginger Island. And just now learned that the in-game screenshot mode will not include the sign's text in the picture, but Steam screenshots do.

(Also giving away one of the answers to guesses of the other franchises for free)

I also made a few modifications to the mine entrances. There are similar chest and Abby-portrait setups outside the Skull Cavern entrance and Volcano Dungeon entrance.

Finally started a fresh save.

I have a compulsive need to do a lot of things in order, so having done a standard and meadowlands farm, I am now working on a riverlands farm. Trying to decide between the fishing or crab pot professions in the long run.

EDIT: Enough time has passed that I will go ahead and list what references I made with those mannequins in the meadowlands farm designs:

10 days into my riverland farm save and interestingly, I got a few clothing items from chopping trees on a few different occasions. Did I get some blind luck or is that a gimmick to make the least popular map more appealing?

UPDATE: Weird. I caught trash on the riverland farm map even though the maps wiki page doesn't list it being possible.

Clothes dropping from things like trees is a 1.6 update, not unique to any map.

I think that the game puts a sunfish for the tutorial, whatever the water, if the fish that was supposed to bite is too difficult, like a flounder.

Gave up on the colored crystals game and paid the Joja parrot. Visited the summit and bought a golden egg from Marnie. Ordered a coop from Robin for my new chickens. Got enough auto-petters and auto-grabbers for 5 animal buildings, so the main obstacles are wood and space... and building time. Filled up the "tree line" at Ginger Island with banana trees, including removing the mango tree in favor of a banana sapling. Robin wasn't able to finish the coop before the Luau.

Well, Farmer Ray has struggled through Summer Y 3 into Fall now. Got a Giant Melon crop and another fish pond with Lava Eel, took the trip to Ginger Island and started exploring there, including building up the sleeping hut again. And won the Valley Fair again... The Volcano Dungeon finally helped to reach Level 10 in Combat, so he's opened the mastery cave and got his first mastery (Farming this time, for the golden Animal Crackers).
Penny was playing hard to get again, but giving her a stardtop tea for her birthday finally got Ray the 10 hearts back. After that he had the angry cut scene with the girls. He restarted the day and carried the rabbits foot along, so everything is in order again. Abby have him a side comment about dating her a year now and if this all would lead to something? It will probably, but not with Abby... Maru's still his favourite, maybe he'll propose after the Feast of the Winter Star, we'll see. First he has to save money for the return scepter and gather the things for the Island Obelisk. Lad's always busy with something...😇

Ostrich barn full, but two still needing to be fed golden animal crackers. Gold chicken has started laying, and her first eggs hatched, and now she and her brood are in the new fully automated coop. I may end up feeding the gold chickens crackers too.
