Pierre needs to be a single middle aged male who's obsessed with running his store and dreams of building a business empire. Which means we really shouldn't be wasting sprites and heart events already integrated into the game so totally really there's an additional need for a single mom who's a real big fan of tea, living with her daughter who dreams of excessive RPG swordplay and that specific crunch of culinary gems and minerals.

I second this, not just as specifically gay marriage candidate, but turn the nailsmith and nailmaster sheo into Stardew characters, they’re such a cute couple.

I would make the Joja Cashier an actual character. Claire is horribly underrated as a character.
Gunther, Gil and Marlon should also be befriendable. Gunther doesn't really appear in any of the festivals, and that's bizarre. Marlon could use some character development.
