Things you never do

I forgot one: I never use daggers or pick the Scout professions. Swords are vastly superior.
I also never pick the crab pot skills in fishing, as I don't really use crab pots (usually end up using four, the three free ones and one crafted one) and the skills that increase fish sell prices are way better for me.
Swords are generally better, but a good dagger is pretty funny to wield if you luck out and get one early. I like the sound it makes.

Generally, I like to think I could eventually give everything in the game a fair chance - except the arcade games and artisan.

I never marry Eliott, Maru nor Alex. That may change for Maru or Alex in future farms, but Eliott: not a chance.
I never get the hidden statues that are obtained by placing items in certain boxes in town.
I never use the waivers nor golden parrot. I will NEVER use them and would greatly love that update 1.7 bring a way to disable it for players that don't want Joja to spoil Ginger Island.
I never play without cows: they provide cheese which is my main food in Skull Caverns/Volcano. I should commit myself to play it an alternate way.
I never use another weapon than the Galaxy/Infinity Sword once I get my hands on it.

I have never slept before 10:00pm
I never get a dog for a pet
I never like chickens - I know them too well in real life, they'll never win me over
I (like nicodeux) never play without cows, and for the same reason
I never use butterfly powder
I never give a neutral/bad gift on the Feast of the Winter Star
I never skip the Spirit's Eve maze
I never skip SquidFest
I never ignore fishing treasure - I'd rather lose the fish than the chest!
I never decide on the order to master my skills
I never deal with Pierre more than I absolutely have to
I never leave the house without talking with my wife (when married, of course)
I never decorate as much as I want to - "on a farm, there's always something that needs to get done"

There are more things I haven't done before but only because I haven't gotten around to yet, such as playing on certain farm maps and marrying certain villagers. I've been thinking about downloading one of those economy mods that prevents you from eternally flooding the market with wine consequence-free, as it'll give me a more dynamic lategame. But that's not happening in my current save, so I have a little while before it affects my playstyle.

I never do skull cavern runs, I never miss a festival, I never sell things directly to Pierre (unless I need immediate money, which is rare), and I never turn kids into doves.

I never pet a goose :3
Well, fortunately there are no geese in the game... yet. I have no idea if there ever will be, but in my opinion there are enough options for the coop as is.
It's a lovely morning in Pelican Town, and you, are a horrible goose.

I normally get that itch partway through year 4. I've never made it to year five. I am a game week away from year 5 for the first time ever, and I am determined to make it farther this time!

What did chickens ever do to you? 😢
I had a neighbor go on vacation and I took care of his two dozen chickens for a couple weeks. Long story short, it was a smelly time and they were in too small of an enclosure. I took care of them and all but it was not a fun experience. I don't hate chickens, but seeing the in-game chickens all in their tiny coop reminds me of the chickens I wished I could have let roam. So it's nothing personal. With barns I can just give the cows a television and some couches (cowches?) and pretend they love it in their big barn, while the interior of the coop remains small and I don't like it.

I understand what you mean now, I’m going thru a similar thing with my neighbor right now expect I don’t have to watch his chickens, however he leaves the roaster in a small crate when it’s freezing outside and the hens don’t have enough room, I’m sorry you went thru that

Yeah, situations like those are rough. In my case at least the chickens were being raised for meat, so they weren't in there for more than a couple weeks.

Oh, and one more thing I never do in Stardew Valley:
I never end up giving Pierre a loved gift (except universal loves) before I max out hearts with him. That greedy jerk dude is picky! I can more or less manage at least a few loved gifts for everyone else before reaching the pinnacle of our friendship, but Pierre only loves a food I'll never make or a book I'll never buy except to read it. And even if that book were available every day in the game, I don't think I'd give it to him on principle. He probably only wants it to raise his own prices, the scoundrel.
