Standard Farm Slimey Farm

Greetings everyone,

I would like to share with you the second of my many farms, after the first one I have shared some times ago.

This is Slimey farm, with Perfection reached, and all achievements unlocked (save Junimo's Kart). It was started in late update 1.3 or early 1.4. I cannot remember and I consider it now fully finished (though I may return to it when update 1.7 is released, we'll see).

Sebastian won the heart of Melia, my farmer. One morning, while they were standing on the front door, looking at the sun raising onto the fields of Slimey Farm, Sebastian told Melia that they should raise slimes, and that this would prove quite profitable. Hence, the two Slime Hutches on the farm (top one is red & purple, bottom one is blue and green).
To fuel the slime egg press for these hutches, there are many slimejacks fish ponds. I have to say that since update 1.6, the daily production of the ponds, combined with the production from slime eggs, grant me far more slime to press than I need. It was quite balanced during update 1.5, so the buff of fish ponds production is quite noticeable here.

There is a mushroom maze at the left of the farm and I really regret that mushroom lamps from Junimo's catalog can't be placed outdoor, because they would have fit perfectly in the maze.

Leading to GrandPa's Shrine, there are ranks of tea bushes. At some point of this farm, I thought of making money out of brewing or preserving tea leaves... But it happened to be less fun then expected. I tried several "profession" for Farmer Melia, but none did ring the bell. Pity. Nonetheless, I kept some ranks of tea bushes because I like the aesthetics.

The lack of clear direction/profession during the life of this farm explains the lack of design continuity between the different areas, each one being some kind of relic of the story of Slimey farm.

When the screenshot was taken, I was trying to grow giant cauliflowers. But when I decided to stop that farm, all cauliflowers were fully grown but not turned into giant crops.

As for the farm indoors, I choose a simple design, except for the room near Sebastian's room where I tried to have a design that prolongates Sebastian's room: same tones and colours, basement feeling, computer, video games, cosy and lazy…

Yet, in one room of the farm, I installed an extra fish tank with a prismatic frog in it. Because Sebastian loves frogs.

Love the expansion to Seb's room.
You also have a huge amount of mushroom trees, I never seem to find a way to make them work with my farm designs.

Looks awesome Nico, the mushroom tree forest has a fun vibe, have you considered putting a path and some lanterns or something through it? If you don't think it would make the maze too easy

Thank you very much, both of you!

There are many gravel paths in the mushroom maze, some leading to one exit, some leading to dead ends. But they are not quite visible with all the fully grown mushrooms. They were more visible in a previous version:

I also thought to add lamps in the maze, but I would really have wanted them to be the mushroom lamps from Junimo's catalog. Unfortunately, those can't be placed outdoor. I might think of an alternative.

I also really like your farm; I like the different areas for different topics. I'm just not a fan of breeding slime, but each to their own.
The mushroom lamps would of course be very suitable for the maze, but perhaps these small decorative lanterns would be an alternative? They can also be used outdoors. Or simply torches? Unfortunately, jack-o'-lanterns only work in autumn...

Another two-hutch farm! Respect. I’m a fan of the mushroom forest.

I also find tea bushes to be low profit but charming, and I especially like them for fencing.

It’s a pretty farm and I think the different areas work well together.

That’s so cool! How long did this take to make?

That's a nice suggestion. There is already a wooden post (maybe two?), at the top left entry of the maze. I've added decorative lanterns (now that they provide light since update 1.6 ) and you can see the result here:

I love the mushroom tree area! I might steal your house interior :D
Thank you, feel free to use it in your own farm house!

The farm is in year 8. As I said, I've changed my mind several time about this farm; so it's hard to tell exactly how long it took. Moreover, I came back to it when update 1.5 was released, then update 1.6... Therefore, it took me a longer time to unlock/find new content that should have come sooner/easier in a brand new 1.6 save.

Thank you, I tried a lot of tea bushes for fencing on this farm... Yet, I finally decided against it. In my mind, tea bushes are for tea. I don't like animal droppings or whatever on my tea leaves... :dizzy:

As for the two hutches... I have a farm currently in progress with four of them!

Ohhhhh, yeah I totally see it now, my bad!

It's a shame you can't have mushroom lamps outside, those were the same that I was thinking about, but didn't realize they're inside furniture items only :(

Your farm is slime approved!! I love it! Looks great! :slime:
Thanks!
I should place a label onto it "Slimey Farm is Slime Approved" :proud:

Maybe we will be allowed to place them outdoor in a coming update? I was very thrilled when update 1.5 allowed to place most of the furnitures outside.
