1.6 Update What happened in your game today?

Married Leah. Went to Ginger Island in the time between proposal and ceremony. On the last day of that I went through the first five floors of the volcano (in my wedding outfit) on the hunt for a bomb to release Professor Snail. Had to buy one from the dwarf. Opened the shortcut and got the tent back in business before I totemed home.

Started befriending Leo, and his birthday's coming up. I'm gonna try and avoid forgetting about it. Several other villagers have made it to my "can be ignored" list.

Leo's birthday present took him from 1 to 6 hearts. Got to see all three of his island events in one day. Have since restored the resort and fed a total of 81 golden walnuts to various parrots. Currently holding off on trying to reach the top of the volcano as I'm looking for ginger. Also need a bunch more golden coconuts to get myself some banana tree seeds, as I think of that as the best way of getting them besides completing the big animal.

I really think the visitors to the island should be allowed up to see the island trader and Professor Snail's tent, making their outing a bit more than a visit to a beach with a changing room.

Blackberry season week there was one empty option on the special orders board. Time to cash in on some of those one can do more than once, I guess.

Still no question about adopting a child, but Leah is the one to get to decide when she's ready for the responsibility. She has given me a stardrop though.

Just started a don't leave the farm challenge. My plan is to go for mushroom logs via lumberjack. For now it seems relaxing, hopefully it won't become boring.
Oh cool, where did you get the idea? I like it. Huge fan of mushroom logs (underrated imo) and a challenge. And also what is the end goal of your challenge? If any.

There are a couple of youtubers who have done a challenge like this, usually with the goal to make money. Most went for ancient fruit on a farm with a quarry. I want to become a bit better at arranging an open space, so I'm going for the standard farm.

Picked up the island fishing special order. Two kinds of fish done, including the most difficult, one to go. Still need to dump the remaining ginger into the shipping bin for the island ingredients special order. Also just two more fish to go for the Fishing Mastery achievement, and as usual for me it's down to whether octopus or scorpion carp will be the last one caught.

Still haven't had the time to make a serious attempt at reaching the top of the volcano. Mostly just gone there to gather cinder shards, and look for dragon teeth and golden walnuts. I did bring a bunch of diamonds with me one time, to get the book from the dwarf shop. I have got my third mastery a little while ago, and picked Combat. No trinkets found so far. 5 more golden walnuts to go before I can afford the farm obelisk and access the walnut room.

More villagers have joined my "can be ignored" list, and I make a point of talking to at least a few of those that have yet to join it on the days when the statue of blessing triples the friendship output from greetings. Too bad the blessing effect doesn't include gifts, but that would make things a bit too easy.

Leah's not yet ready to adopt a child.

Maybe I'm doing the same, but didn't named it so far... I always get to the point when you have befriended most of the villagers and have so much other things to do than running around and greeting everyone.
If you have Magic Rock Candy, maybe try a Skull Cavern Run for Trinkets, could be successfull. And be patient with Leah, for me the baby question usually comes up when I've seen the last Heart Event of my spouse. After that they suddenly start to help at the farm and maybe feel somehow bored and as a result of that rises the urgent need to be a parent 😏

It's Winter Year 5 now, a quiet time at the moment. Not much happened, just doing the farm chores and mining after making the Mines dangerous. Did a Skull Cavern Run at Spirits Eve and missed the haunted maze, but Elliott didn't mentioned it. The Masterangler is in sight, so is the Monster Slayer Quest, money keeps rolling in constantly and my farmer sometimes feels in the mood for reaching for perfection in this game... Got 5 Ostrichs now and the third dino's in the incubator. Elliott is still a happy spouse and keeps on writing, at least he says so, my great pretender 😌 Tomorrow comes the Festival of Ice and he promised me a good competition even without much practice, let's see if I can beat Willy once more 🐟

Oh, Leah's been helping out at the farm about once a week from the very beginning of our marriage. I did end up ignoring her for one day after my previous post, reached the top of the volcano... after having made the mini-forge and done my first ring combo. Got my first trinkets too, a rapid magic quiver and an ice rod. Got the soul sapper ring too, so now I can combine it with the vampire ring. Nice combo ring to have, even if I don't really use it.

I will need to make one or more skull cavern runs fairly soon as I have money for 2-3 obelisks, but not nearly enough iridium bars (and lacking some of the other stuff too, like bananas). A little over a season before I get the statue of perfection. I also still haven't reached floor 100 normally and I've just got access to the walnut room. Picked up the Extended Family quest despite it being at the end of the day so I have just 2 days to complete it. Might pick up my 4th mastery first though as the advanced iridium rod would make it easier.

Got the Qi Fruit quest at the right time. Day 1 of Winter (the other option was Junimokart) Sure, I had prepared a bunch of fiber seeds, but those can wait. Considered buying pressure nozzles to double the watered area from iridium sprinklers, but settled on the key to town. Not much to buy with just 20 qi gems.

Got the slime charmer ring. Immediately bought a second one. Combined one of them with the burglar ring and stuffed the other into the dresser to wait until I have a lucky ring. Now I just need to bring my hoard of cinder shards to the volcano and trade 100 of them for the cinderclown shoes. Annoying sound if using earbuds (my sound isn't set high enough for it to be a bother otherwise), but the improvement over the space boots makes me put up with it.

Had a good luck day from the statue so I gathered all my staircases and did a Skull Cavern run to reach Level 100... It went pretty good, lots of shafts and at least three treasure rooms and in the end a mediocre comment of Mr Qi, cause I used a few staircases... But I got the snake milk, 4 Prismatic shards, an Auto-Petter, Seedmaker, Genie Shoes and a lot of other nice stuff... And fulfilled three more Monster Slayer Goals for Marlon and Gil.
Next days I took part in the Squid fest and finally got the "Art of crabbing" as an effort, the last book I had to read yet.
Also replanted the Greenhouse a bit, now there's only pineapples, ancient fruits, strawberrys, starfruit and a little bit coffee and hops. Plus the Mango and Banana trees...
