Considering the places where Marlon might find the farmer on his "3 am sweep", he has to have some way to either stop time or move outside of time. There just isn't enough time in a day to make it through all the areas of the map along with the the three dungeons, much less to do it in one hour. To keep the villagers from noticing, he won't use it during the day unless there's an emergency.

Sometimes I think, the Farmer is the only one passing out at 2 am, considering who finds you, when IT happens somewhere outside your house... Marlon, Linus and Joja stroll around your farm, Willy picks you up at GI at night, sometimes even your spouse finds you at the mines, although lying in bed since 10 pm... Kinda creepy, if you ask me 🫣

Yeah. Definitely creepy. One thing worth noting is that I've never seen Marlon making a 3 am sweep before Joja is thrown out of town, which definitely makes it seem like he's got something to hide. He manages to hide it from Joja and the villagers, but the farmer gets found in a few too many spots for him to keep it from them.

Wouldn't surprise me if Qi is the one to anonymously drop the farmer off at Harvey's clinic, considering how he's monitoring the valley from the walnut room.

Joja could be a case of them having too many people sneaking around and doing things that might not be entirely legal, as might be evidenced by Fizz. But they think it is legal because their boss says so. Sneaking around on the farm is okay to them, because the farmer has never been in the position to trespass them, and it's not like we can call the police.

I have yet to have my spouse finding me at the mines. They might've got one of those "waking up fully at finding the other half of the bed empty" at some point during the night, and I guess the farmer might've told their spouse their plans for the day, even if their dialogue is rarely seen. They're also up a while before the farmer...

Linus... I think some stuff might be easiest to find at night, not to mention that it's a good time to rummage through trashcans without getting caught. I'd not be surprised if his sleep time is 10 pm to 2 am. If the farmer manages on the 4 hours of sleep between 2-6 am, he might also need just 4 hours. Old people tend to need less sleep, allowing him to be completely refreshed by his 4 hours while the farmer might need a bit more depending on how exhausted they were.

His dad was an alcoholic, who didn't treat his wife and son well and finally left them. Alex mum got ill and died short after that and so he lives with his grandparents...

Mona is left to your fantasy, she's definitely not Alex mother, cause her name was Clara... Some Fanfics on Wattpad think, she's either the Farmers grandma or mother, both smart thoughts.

great theories, but it can't be the farmers mom bc you get letters from her still if you're male. (she sends me cookies), and as for the grandma, that's a cool theory but it doesn't explain why abby regularly visits her grave

Yeah, maybe, since I'm always playing female, I get messages from dad... But maybe Mona is Abbys grandma or Evelyns or Georges sister or whatever, it's not mentioned in the game as far as I know.

one of the big time Stardew Youtubers (i think) once floated the idea that Linus is actually the founder and original CEO of JojaCorp. and his current lifestyle is a self imposed exile/penance for bringing the corporate behemoth into the world.

I'm not super confident about how plausible it is, but it is a fun idea to play with.

I can't see Clint's dad being a part but he could be there guy for equipment. I like the rest tho.
