1.6 Update What happened in your game today?

At the moment I'm in Summer Year 2.

First day planting curly rain trees and mushroom trees (both so I can add tappers and get fiddlehead ferns for fiddlehead risotto and mushrooms for dehydrating).

The next day was the Luau and my gold quality cauliflower in the communal soup impressed the Governor :)

The day after a nice rainy day chilling in my shed making preserves and coffee.

Final day I married Shane and just stayed on the farm after the wedding harvesting crops while Shane was hanging out on the porch (maybe one day he'll lend a hand!).

Looks like we're about the same place lol. I'm not marrying Shayne anytime soon, though!

Reached Fall of year 2. I think I'll go for Shane this save and have just made him my bf. Could've gone for Harvey, but I'm not evil enough to make him live on a hilltop farm with his fear of heights. The cellar should be ready for its first use in the morning.
Unlocked the walnut room and done two Qi quests. Will try to reach the top of the volcano while I wait for the banana tree to grow.

Claimed my third mastery. Finally reached the top of the volcano, and got a spare ostrich egg from making a detour to a rare chest. 6 more golden walnuts to get, which are those I find the most annoying. Time to focus more on the Qi quests, I guess. Last time it was a choice between two bad options where I noped out on both.

But why? Aren't you saving up for 100B?

I would have crossed that threshold by now easily, if I played on pc instead of playstation.

I stopped at 10B because filling my inventory with Hay takes like 40 minutes. As I understand, pc players can buy stacks at a time basically instantly.

So what would happen if I were to sell the 32-bit integer limit worth of eggs*2? (4.3B)

Nothing? Should I just try it and see?

I hope my question even makes sense :)

It is my first play through and I am taking it quite slow; I have a bad habit of blowing through video games instead of enjoying them, and I am not someone who finds games re-playable. I am in Spring of Year 4. I have mastered mining in the traditional mines and skull canyon, as well as created a sprawling farm full of iridium sprinklers which brings in a lot of money each season. I am now getting around to fishing, which I've been avoiding, but I need to fish to finish the community center, as well as appease that big grizzly bear that resides by the sewer and meet Krobus (?). I've invested so, so much time into the game, but I still feel that there is so much to do. The sewers, having kids with Harvey, Ginger Island, and all sorts of artisan good left to craft. I feel so grateful to have found a big game to keep me entertained for at least a few months. I have been reeling and longing for something new since doing all there is to do in Skyrim. If you read all this, drop your best fishing tips below because I am struggling.

You can buy the training rod from Willy. It makes your bar bigger, as if you were level five (leveling up fishing makes the bar bigger with each level)
If you see any food that says "+x fishing", it also makes your bar temporarily bigger and fishing easier
Also you don't want to hold to move your bar, but rather tap, that way it's easier to control (if u play GD imagine straight flying)
You can complete the crab pot bundle in the community center without fishing, and it gives you more crab pots. You can buy them from Willy if you're level 2 fishing. And collecting fish from them gives xp. And more xp —> faster leveling up

Spent a week going down the mines in dangerous mode, because of Qi. I guess I'd better make it up to my bf and those villagers that aren't on the "can be ignored" list. Locked up the coop and barn one day early to plant some blue grass and give it a small chance to grow before winter set in. Really need blue grass there, as the ordinary grass is gone too quickly. My ostrich egg hatched too.
Time to see what Qi has in mind for this week, and either work on that or take it easy.

Blue grass makes raising animals soooo much easier. I haven't had feed problems since the 1.6 update!

It depends on where you start, but it would merely overflow and then begin again. So starting at 0g, selling 2x the integer limit would simply result in having the integer limit of money (not that you can exceed it anyway)
As I understand, pc players can buy stacks at a time basically instantly.
I'm playing 1.5 so I cannot, it's still faster than console though

Definitely. I've only got 7 coop animals and 5 barn animals, and the grass I thought was plenty disappeared completely midway through Fall, so I had to open the gates to other areas to keep them from resorting to eating hay. I had a Meadowlands farm earlier, affecting my assessment despite counting on them needing more. Only bought the game in July, so I've no experience of what it was like before 1.6, but I guess this was one small insight into that.

A second dangerous mine run, courtesy of Qi, gave me a free galaxy soul.
Got Shane to 10 hearts, but will wait for Spring to get the pendant and marrying him. One artefact left to complete the museum collection, and one fish left to catch (apart from extended family), a handful of dishes left to cook, so those are nearly crossed off my list of things to do. Looking forward to get four candles lit on Grandpa's monument and especially the reward for that.
