A consumable recipe for iridium is needed, wish we could make bombs with iridium ore/bars, there could be a stronger bomb and explosive ammo recipes made with iridium, iron is hard to comeby and we got endless amount of iridum supply at end game and even in early/mid game it is actually easier to get, there are more iridium nodes than any other in the game and we got no use for it after getting all the upgrades and crafting stuff it just stacks and stacks of iridium, it is like skull cavern curse but at the comfort of our farm.

It sells for a good amount, and you can technically exchange it for mega bombs at the desert trader, even if there isn't a direct crafting recipe

In addition to @FilthyGorilla idea to check desert trader, you can sell iridium bars for 1000 each, more with Blacksmith profession and use that money to purchase the ore you lack at Clint’s.
