Switch Ginger Island West Freshwater fishing areas not producing correct fish

On Ginger island it seems that in Island West there is an issue with the freshwater fishing areas. The pond as well as the river (past the southernmost plank) are both fishing up ocean fish. I fished up exclusively ocean fish from all of the Island west freshwater fishing areas.
I am playing single player on the latest update 1.6. 15.3 on the switch.
The only freshwater fishing areas available are the river by the dig site. Both of those fishing spots are freshwater. No other fishing areas seem to be having issues, though I do not have access to the pirate cove yet to check that.
This isn’t the most problematic bug, but I thought I’d give it a mention since I noticed it. Thanks!

Seems pretty problematic to me. If it ain't working as intended, it ain't working. Hopefully devs get eyes on this and start working on a fix

Came to report the same thing. Switch version 1.6.15.3
All water tiles in Ginger Island West use the Ocean fishing table. A consequence of this is that I can't hunt for a max size Blue Discus, since the small pond was the only freshwater spot with a level 3 (or even 2) fishing zone on the island.

Sadly, the river isn't wide enough to have anything higher than level 1 fishing zone. To get the max size of a given fish you need to fish in a zone of at least 3 (and even then you need to boost your fishing level to 14)
