Kinda? You can local update with a friend if they haven't updated via the Internet yet but I think that's the only way :sweat:

I noticed 2 things that I haven't seen posted yet. I'm married to Abigail and the house is expanded only to a kitchen. Today she told me she woke up early to feed Daniel Jr. There are no animals or children named this (my character is Daryl). Also I bought 2 books from the bookseller that I was missing. I read them and got a notice that I learned new skills. But the books didn't appear in my wallet/ skills screen.

Prismatic and highest level??? Oh no, I would have actually cried, like this was the best of all frogs! Was there an announcement for an update fix? I didn't see it in case there was one. I hope it comes out soon, or else I might just continue playing and hope I get the color I loved in a different save file. I was obsessed with Tinkerbell as a kid, so I got the green/yellow fairy with my main save, hence why I was so upset that it changed :(
Of course I'm happy about the bux fixes that Concerned Ape worked on, but I wish it didn't create such big problems too!

No hard evidence on this, but the villagers seem to like me a lot more without cause. The first in-game day I was getting letters and cut-scenes like crazy (my farm is year 1), even though I hadn't been interacting much with anyone or giving gifts for approximately an in-game week prior to that in-game day (the first one I'd played after the 1.6.9.40 update). Continue to get a slew of letters and cut-scenes each new in-game day without doing anything to warrant the special treatment.

@RuperFrog : If you've just completed the Luau, that's normal behaviour. You get a boost of friendship points with all the villagers when you put a correct item into the soup.

CA said on Twitter that the "rain issue" got fixed (some save files/seeds didn't have rain in spring except the first wednesday which is always rainy bc tutorial idk) and I tested it by using random seeds and sleeping through spring. It got "better"... A lot of seeds now have 1 (plus the first wednesday) rainy day :D I mean it's better then zero rainy days but yeah... not ideal.
But I don't want to complain too much. I'm still thankful for the update!

CA said on Twitter that they will work on the loved gift issue. I think/hope they'll work on the problems with the trinkets as well

Thank you!!! I didn't see. In a way, it's "good" that so many people have trinkets issues so there's more hope that this will join the list of things CA wants to work on. I'm crossing my fingers!

Oh no…. This has got me hesitant to update, not worth it for me if all my trinkets reset. Did you mention this happens on multiplayer only or single player too?

With this latest update on the Switch, I do not experience the Trout Derby. The first day came with no announcement, and no one showed up. Willy was the only one in the area fishing.

Single player too
Not all the trinkets reset. In my experience, I only had 3 frog ones change color out of 10, but if you're not willing to re-roll then don't update. Fairy will automatically change color but for me it didn't change levels.

“Random“ crashes in split screen might be related to end of day??
  1. Fairly regularly (once or twice a session) the game will crash after it has saved right before the new day. This has been the least intrusive crash.
  2. In this latest update (1.6.9.40), as well as previous ones, the game has sometimes crashes after player two has gone to bed, but before player one has gone to bed if they stay up for a while longer. I am unsure the two are related, or if it is just memorable because we lose a whole day of progres. I haven’t tried to reproduce it intentionally.
