I like Penny! I’d definitely have her as a roommate like Krobus if that was an option! I’m straight, but I’d definitely see us being good friends irl. 🫶Honestly sounds fun, I was about to marry penny on my latest file but forgot her birthday and wanted to get perfection by a deadline so I went back to good ol' Emily
I think Penny would be nice to marry though, I've never married her in all my years playing
NOOOOOO *sad noise*Cuz I forgot Sam existed until you reminded me
Maru's heart events are a bit meh. Day to day she's great. She will give you bombs. She is eager to leave festivals, so if you're an introvert that's a match.(i also wanna try to marry maru sometime can anyone lmk how she is as a partener pls and ty)
I'm actually not a big fan of the scene where you get hurt. My actual real life job has enough casual risk of bodily harm, but at least I am never at risk of being electrocuted. As an aspiring engineer and as a part-time nurse, Maru really should be paying more attention to safety.Maru's heart events are a bit meh. Day to day she's great. She will give you bombs. I don't understand why people say this. The game clearly states that Marnie is the aunt of both Jas and Shane. What is wrong with a child being raised by her aunt? It would be much more odd to be raised by her cousin. While I think that Shane is the best male marriage candidate by a mile I have one huge issue with him, that doesnt seem to be discussed at all. The fact that he is a father and that he leaves his daughter behind when he marriages the player character. Jas is Shanes goddaughter, not Marnie's. He promised to take care of her, not Marnie. As a father myself I really dislike that Jas gets overlooked by the game and the fans alike.
No, the game clearly states that Shane is her godfather and adopted her when her parents died. They are not related by blood. Jas mentions that at a few occasions.I don't understand why people say this. The game clearly states that Marnie is the aunt of both Jas and Shane. Marnie often mentions that Shane has been staying with her for a few months (which unfortunately doesn't change even if you play for 10 years) which is meant to let you know he's a recent addition to Pelican Town. And she never mentions anything about Jas arriving with him. Additionally there is the Secret Note with a picture of a younger Jas and Marnie. This is a pretty strong suggestion that Marnie had been taking care of Jas for a while and Shane has only recently joined them. And while Marnie could very well be Jas' godmother, those titles are minimally relevant as Marnie seems to be the actually responsible person who's been taking care of Jas for a while. No, the game clearly states that Shane is her godfather and adopted her when her parents died. But it doesnt matter if aunt, uncle, cousin or friend of the family. Shane took the responsibility for her and then chickens out (no pun intended). And that just doesnt sit right with me.
The whole relationship between those three is indeed a bit muddled. Which is okay for me, since it allows for discussions like we have right now.Marnie often mentions that Shane has been staying with her for a few months (which unfortunately doesn't change even if you play for 10 years) which is meant to let you know he's a recent addition to Pelican Town. Yes, that scene is rather a bit shocking. I would offer two more options:I'm actually not a big fan of the scene where you get hurt.
