Android Co-op players unable to move while using tap-to-move

While trying the new hidden multiplayer from 1.6 I noticed the same bug I had in the modded 1.5 version, if the host tries to mine with other players they will all get stuck into an inactive state, unable to move or click on anything, not even the menu will open, the game itself is not frozen, you will be attacked by mobs and die and can still see the host running around. This affects everyone using tab-to-move only, while using joystick controls this wont happen. The host is also not affected by this.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Start a new farm
2. Invite another player to join
3. Start cleaning the rocks around the farm
4. All other players will be unable to move.

This issue exists since 1.5 and still present on 1.6, both android phones are the same version, running on local network, no mods installed, no game settings changed, all default.

Yeah can confirm, my friend uses tap to move and every now and then she'll be unable to move, the game isn't frozen though she just can't move and the only way to fix it is to restart the game entirely.

It works fine on the invisible joystick and 2 buttons control scheme though so she uses that for now, unsure about the others.
