Clothing Shop to sell and buy clothing

Honestly I wish clothing didn’t drop at all. I throw most of it away because I either already have it or it’s clogging up my backpack while foraging, fishing, or mining. Besides, nearly everything except a few character-creation-only items can be crafted at the sewing machine.

I know this is the silliest thing to get annoyed over, but those tiny annoyances add up when they happen at every turn.

This gives me an idea . . .

Now waitaminute here. The Clothing item drops are far closer to the unique side of the water-to-Mona Lisa line on the rarity scale, whether you're mining, Fishing or Foraging.

4 whole Foragable items that stack with Botanist, a few Fish that if you play the minigame right will always stack in later game if you're skilled enough to 'let' them escape the Fishing Bar. I'm an escape-letter, give those fishies some hope and guarantee :goldstar: quality! Mining gets you all the same things as usual: Coal, ores, geodes, a few measly Inventory slots lost.

But Clothing, the apotheosis of Nature's own bounty, just randomly gifted to you so to cover your back against the elements in a wide palette of fashionable colors and patterns? These are not gifts to be trifled with, rather to be collected and displayed upon your own person on all the right occasions and events. You may not even have the necessary item to craft the Shirt, so this saves you from needing to find that blasted Ocean Stone again.

And those uncraftable Shirts total 24! Do you know how long it'll take to find them all or buy them from Sandy if you check with her almost every day? Well it's more than 4 in-game years 'cuz I'm on Year 5 and am still missing bunches of them, even with retaining all those found-garment treasures.

I sincerely hope the true nature of this cozy fashion sim game is not lost on too many people, even if CA seems to have hidden it just a bit too well.

Lol I do try to collect them when I can, it’s just often enough that I’m on the hunt for a specific resource and I need the backpack slot to collect it.

Instead of dropping random pieces of clothing, drop the vanity equivalent of mystery boxes that can stack neatly in one slot during adventures and be opened for a random vanity item later when it’s more convenient. However, it would not require Clint to open them.
Okay, I get what you're saying now! Weapons bug me the same way. 3 slots used up by 3 bone swords? Just. Stack!

In spite of my florid defense of Clothing, unstackable Inventory items are the bane of everyone's existence and yes I have about a dozen Bone Swords now with more to come as I keep getting the Cursed Mannequin (M) and never the (F) version! With the additional v1.6 drops of all kinds almost none of which stack (!), there is quite the increased pressure on Inventory space to the point that a late game 48 slot backpack for around 50,000g from Pierre seems like a balanced addition to the game.
