Windows No Mines Ladder

On floor 21 (infested) there was no ladder down to the next floor. Normally after killing the last monster a ladder appears for me with the text "A way down appeared" or something similar but no message appeared and no ladder spawned. The enemies were normal with a couple of grubs, a slime and a duggie. If it helps, I killed the grub which turned into a cave fly last.

And you are absolutely sure you did not overlook something? A stone that actually was a rock crab. Another duggie? And it did not say "ladder has appeared"? Then it usually is just in front of the ladder up.

It could also be a flying enemy the spawned in the void. Sometimes it feels of you run along the perimeter of the floor to trigger them.

same thing happened to me today. year 2 summer, floor 24. killed all the enemies and no ladder appeared.. once inn a while a flying grub appeared and i when around the edge using the sword incase something was not showing but no luck. 12am hit so i had to leave for home. got a small seed though and have to figure what to do with it. it don't plant and seed maker dont like it.

Take it to the museum! I suppose it is the Ancient seed artifact, and after you've brought it there you get one plantable seed and a recipe to make more out of those seeds!
