I have been playing stardew for years and have never yet reached perfection or just gotten all the achievemnts and rarely even got to the pillars, I realy want to see the cutscene and have made sure i havnt spoiled it for myself. My olny problem is i cant decide on which farm layout i want to use for this endeavor. The options on the poll are all the farms i havent played on yet. Please vote and give me any tips before i start on this grand adventure. (edit added beach farm since i never went endgame with the beach olny mid)

PS. will keep a forumn that i update weekly with progess for those interested

Thanks!

If you are looking for a standard farm type, it is the most common and easy to understand option. However, if you like challenges, certain types of farms can be a challenging choice. Of the options you mentioned, Hill-Top feels easier to manage although not better than the others. Remember that your goal is to achieve 100%, and you haven't achieved it yet. At least, do it the first time in the easiest way.

Iv played the game quite a bit and my knowledge is extensive. I just always got bored with endgame and dipped before reaching perfection not becuase it was to diffucault.

This is common, especially if you have reached a high level or mastered most of the content of the game.

Wilderness farm nets access to Morrels without needing to unlock the Secret Forest, plus renewable stumps for hardwood farming that also nets a decent amount of wood for your jar/keg needs. Not as much room to grow, but enough to work on.

I would use the beach farm. The main drawback would be the limited sprinkler area.
The beach farm is huge. So much space for animals, grass, trees, fish ponds, buildings.
The beach farm gives both seasonal and beach forage items.
The crates are a huge bonus- food, seeds, bombs, geodes just wash up right there on your farm! And the fishing is great.

Beach or hilltop farm with monsters turned on! I think either one could be fun if you are not planning to do a large amount of standard sprinkler-watered farming.
I will unlock ginger island later on so the olny major farming im planning on doing is crops for food and other small things.

I think im going to do beach for all of those reasons!

Although it's not on your list, I'd vote for the Forest Farm because it's so easy to get hardwood and the layout is easy. You can get a good assortment of seasonal foraging on this farm too, including morels (as mentioned above).

I know it's not one of the options, but the Four Corners Farm is my favorite! I use the upper right corner for crops, the upper left corner for livestock, the lower left corner for fish ponds and sheds and the lower right corner for trees and the mini quarry. It is the perfect farm in my opinion!

Hill-top or Beach feel like you get a better start, imo, and you have more resources available right on your farm.

With hill-top, you can already be smelting copper bars before the caves have even unlocked, plus you have plenty of wood on-site, the river, and enough space for a reasonably sized farm. I always have a small amount of stone, ores, coal, wood, hardwood, and fish at my disposal on my Hill-top farm. I've even started getting iridium ore nodes on my little quarry.

Beach has all the advantages that PoppyforPenny already pointed out. ^_^

I honestly really like the standard farm. There are definitely more practical farms for perfection, but I really like the big open space... you can do anything you want with it. Any design or layout you want with the buildings without anything getting in the way (with the exception of that darn pond, I guess it's cute.) Again, not great for perfection maybe but I really enjoyed getting perfection on it.

Wilderness farm is moot/pointless, since a late game mechanism allows any farm to acquire its unique perk, activate or disable it at will.
Beach farm prevents sprinklers from working, which means you have to manually water the majority of your crops.

I strongly urge you to utilize the Hill-Top farm, with the mining goodies. Has a good chance to include Mystic Node, which has a semi-good chance to yield Rainbow-Shards. And you can have a steady supply of other minerals, ore and coal, without even venturing to dungeons/mines; or combine both activities and skyrocket your profits!

It's pretty straightforward to reach a year 2 perfection on standard, forest and hilltop. Go for beach to challenge yourself.
