Lost my save :(

How did you lose it?

If you deleted it or uninstalled the app, is probably gone, unless your phone creates backups somewhere.

If the game crashed and the file just doesn't show, find the folder where it is saved and see whether it has been renamed. It should just be the name of your farm or farmer and a number. There should be a second file with the extension _old. If you can rename either of those files to just Name_Number, they should work again.

even on mobile there is a chance to get things back I would plug it into my Pc and have a look at the files. Gotta be some recovery software that works on phones maybe even an app . IDK . what I do know is if something has been on a device it cant really be removed until the drive or storage is completely overwritten so no :( frowns Just make sure you don't be filling up your mobile storage until you can explore some options ... How old is your save ? How many in game years?

That's a bummer for sure, the bright side of that is even if you have to start over It would probably take you only 3 years in game to earn back that progress. 6 years in game you learn a lot starting over you make 1/2 the mistakes you made if that .. I'd be willing to bet you could build it back 2x better in half the time .. but first put some more research into the recovery of your save, Iam no expert on the mobile platform or any platform for that matter, but I really don't think recovering your save is out of the question. Hang in :)

It randomly got deleted from the files, it still shows in game and in stardew save editor but when I try to enter it the game crashes

So is the SDV folder visible in the Files app > On My iPad? The only way that gets deleted automatically is if the game is uninstalled. If that folder is visible, is your farm save folder inside it?

If you have iCloud backup enabled or back up your iPad to your Mac, it will have backed up that folder. You can restore the folder but to do that, you'd have to restore your iPad from the backup. There isn't a way to restore only that folder (unless maybe you're using the iMazing app with your Mac).

The steps are described in this Apple Support article, and I can help if you get stuck. Of course, you'll want to choose a backup created prior to the date that folder was deleted.

From this detail that it still shows in the game, it almost sounds like your farm save folder got moved, not deleted. Let us know what you see in the Files app > On My iPad, and see if the SDV game folder might have somehow moved to iCloud or other location On My iPad. Still that doesn't really explain why it still shows in the game (even though you can't load it).

Something's a bit wonky but we might be able to figure it out.

A screenshot of your Files app view might help too.

Something's a bit wonky but we might be able to figure it out.

It is nowhere to be found, I searched every location in the files app

I also lost it, I was once deleted and because my redmi lags the old one, I’m waiting for now and I already have power on my phone, and then I would download the game like that, and I already tried to lose my account, I was already worried and I want to cry. :harvey: :cry:

Do you still see a stardew valley folder or not?

Do you only have the one save? If yes, try making a new farm and see where it puts that file.

How old is your device? Devices using iOS 12 or older need to be connected to a computer to find the files.

I think only one save got deleted, but I’ll check
