y smh?

As a city folk, I can't really fault the Joja route lol, in fact there's lots of reasons why Joja is much superior and I know more than a couple of folks here agree with that assessment.

If Stardew Valley is an escape to the modern stressors of the urban, why force yourself to get stressed about gathering community items to go Community? If it's just getting stressed in a different environment, choose the funner path! Joja ftw! Grandpa may have left us a farm as an escapade but work is still work until it is fun ~

In fact, there's no reason to be partisan to either cause, go with both and enjoy the beauty of both things! Enjoy all that (Stardew) life have to offer ya and see that both sides are just as beautiful! Today's rural gal is just tomorrow's city girlie.

Not only is there nothing wrong with the Joja route, it's also a Steam achievement so you can't max out achievements without completing the Joja route at least once. And Stardew has always been a game all about doing it your way, whatever that way may be. While I think choosing the Community Center pathway on your first playthrough is almost essential for guiding a new player through the game and immersing them in this wonderful game community, there should be no shade about anyone's choices, whether that be Joja, Haley, Shane, or The Henchman.

I always thought Community was the "good" path and Joja the "evil" path, plus that "good" is supposedly synonym for "best" and "most rewarding"...

Trying the Joja Route once, was more than enough, to mythbust my former misconceptions!

FilthyGorilla regularly lists down the benefits of Joining Joja and i myself, stick with the select few, that always benefit my Meadowlands farm the most:
1) Villagers don't change scedule (having them change it once, upon unlocking Ginger Island resort, is already a handful).
2) Autopetters (pretty rare drop, where and when even treasure floors themselves are pretty rare; don't ask me to farm for them, i need FOUR for my layout!)
3) Joja Mart is open till late at night, when you miss early shopping at Pierre's (and Pierre tries to screw both farmer and fellow townspeople, is pretty greedy during certain cutscenes)
4) Movie Theater lies in an arguably more convenient location.
5) *You can complete all the bundles you want (minus one), right before buying the Joja customer subscription!* (this way, you still get your desired rewards, you spend no money for community repairs save for the very final one and you get a substitute feeling of wholeness, as a goody-two-shoes wannabe)
6) Your "perfection trophy" is a Soda Machine and it produces Joja Cola daily (no more junk fishing, or 75g apiece at the saloon; you need them in bulk anyway, for one endgame quest, which is repeatable)
7) Joja has agents at Ginger Island... Those, can be paid large sums of money, to offer you legit game shortcuts, taking away your woes. While they are active even during Community Path, i feel such gratitude for their service, that i owe them sum sorry, some (pun intended). Especially the Joja Parrot, i love the little rascal!

Never heard of this...which quest do you need Joja Cola in bulk for?
It can be used as a blue item for Qi‘s prismatic grange quest. I usually use blueberries if I have time to prepare. Joja cola (from the machine in the saloon) is my backup if I don’t have enough.

In my most recent save, the one i am currently running, i am few days before Year 3 (evaluation)!

I didn't know i could do this, but i bought Joja membership and immediately after, completed the very last bundle, from the community center! Junimos were happy, exhausted all of their dialogue lines, departed happy, i savored the nicely designed Restored Community Center and post their "Bais" and "goodBais", next day it became the regular, ugly, Blue Warehouse!

Supposedly, if somebody does that, there was a glitch as per the wiki, that can make Community Center appear as either Restored building, or Joja Warehouse, after the celebration from Joja/Morris! But it always remain warehouse for me, for good. Anyway; i pleased all sides and enjoyed the "normal" gameplay experience (bundles, junimos, etc), while reaping all real rewards (end up in Joja route)!

I just use blackberries. I gather lots of salmonberries and blackberries for a couple of years just for that quest.
