iOS won't leave me leave festivals

Won't let me leave the festivals to complete the day even after i interact with all the towns people and do all the activities for example doing the maze, i always end up having to reset my day and lose my progress and it's getting very annoying

How are you trying to leave?
Which festival exactly? Some end automatically after you complete the activity, for some you just have to leave the location.
