If you're genuinely asking it's either because:
A) if you are playing handheld and one of the joycons disconnects either by dying or slipping off the rail
B) the controller fell asleep because you put it down for a while and needs to reconnect
C) there is another controller that is being pressed/used while you are playing

I play with the joycons attached to the screen of the switch. It happens when I turn off my switch and then back on, should have mentioned that 😅
