Who was the FIRST marriage candidate you ever got married to?

my first and only marriage candidate was sebastian. i've made saves for penny and alex but i never got around to it... i kinda chicken out every time i tell myself to go for it hahahah, but i do think the other marriage candidates are great

I married Penny because she seemed to really like me right from the beginning, and I loved the pool date. But I found married life lacking, hollow, and lovely Penny behaved very strangely. I decided to make her as happy as possible anyway. We eventually had two children.
Then one morning she mentioned that she dreamed our children grew wings and flew away. She didn't notice my face turn pale or blood run cold. She laughed. I always did everything she wanted, but, I couldn't bring myself to do it.

I never married again.

Married Penny first, figured she needed rescuing from that trailer.... then got scammed out of half a million to build her mother a house. Pfft.

On a throwaway farm (Only did the save to get the Joja trophy on PS4) I married Haley.

Latest file I started by marrying Abigail, but then I realised I don't actually like Pierre very much, so after having two kids with her and giving her Amethyst every single day I doved the kids, divorced the purple haired murderer and started romancing Leah.

Wow. Such a good husband and parent.

Well, you may find others act less weird to you? Also, getting married is good for when you get grandpa's evaluation.

I married Sam first, although he didn't strike my fancy until much later on, I had eyes for Sebastian and Elliot before purely based on attractiveness. He's a very sweet first husband, I appreciate his heart events later on that established himself from an aspiring band member to a smaller time musician so he could be a full-time family man, and loving it all the same. Despite his laziness and too laid back attitude (which honestly, I relate to irl, and whose to say I'm not lazy either for buying the auto-grabber or a junimo hut), that's a big sacrifice he made, so I've stuck with him ever since. I'm glad for the decision, I'll leave it to the newer save files to complete the other heart events.

Emily was the first, only because she was the first marriage candidate to 10 hearts, so I went with that. Then on another save I married Penny, turned out to be a massive mistake as I had 2 statues of endless fortune and grandpa's statue at the foot of the bed. When Penny's 14 heart event rearranged the bedroom and I woke up, all 3 statues were gone, not happy. So now I only befriend Krobus as my housemate because I like his dark, dank, room which is good for placing all those strange objects and statues ........

You can always get Grandpa's statue back by talking to him (interact with the grave).

I did look in a chest but the statues were not inside, I also had no idea you could ask Grandpa for your statue back by talking to him, I will have to remember that one, thanks for the tip.
I deleted the save file and started a new game

I married Harvey and I was absolutely head over heels with him during the whole 10-heart event. I couldn't believe how sweet and goofy he was. He suddenly got so angry at me when I come home after farming the whole day and I just felt like I had to be alone again, so I went and divorced him and yeeted the kids away. I couldn't even bear the divorce. Didn't want to marry anyone anymore after that.

I think I married Abigail on my first save. I wanted to marry Emily but her cutscenes put me off a bit so I decided to marry Abby instead! Now I usually just marry Emily or Abigail so my taste haven't changed as much.

I did a quick look through the saves that haven't been deleted...and apparently I went through like. 4. before I got to year two and actually married anyone. And I can't open that one because I haven't opened it since before 1.1 and that's a crash and a half waiting to happen but I am fairly certain it was Maru. I know it was before the workspace was added, and I remember marrying her, but not having a 14 heart event to look forward too. And I missed her. So I married her again in my most recent save to see the updated events for her - and I have to say, I really, really love her heart events. I've married 8/12 singles between various saves, and I think hers ties with Haley's for my favorites! (and I'll never be marrying the other 4, so hey, that ranking will probably stay).
