I always find myself marrying Emily, I don't necessarily like her the most but she has super easy gifts in the form of gems and wool, as well as having a really predictable and easy schedule, spending many nights at the saloon well into the evening where it's easy to go and gift everyone all at once. She does have a fun 14 heart gift which is a plus, I do love the hat and outfit as a whole

I also like her gifts very much and especially the 14 hearts event but I found it a bit boring after some time. Sam does not give the best gifts but his 14 hearts event is one of my favourites and I like the dialogues and his room. Leah also does not give really good presents but her room is very nice decorated and both rooms fit very well in my farmhouse.

Unmodded always Harvey or in some plays where I don’t feel like being married to an NPC since I’m married IRL I have lately been going with Krobus.
in modded with Shane immersive it’s really quite touching and relatable and he stays on track after marriage and is actually a good godfather to Jas and father to his own kids.

I find Maru a bit arrogant. Sometimes she says something like that rainy days must be boring for a farmer that shows that she thinks it is nothing else than watering plants. She has an attitude I do not really like although I find her beautiful.
Alex I sometimes marry and I find him charming but I find his room terrible and he only talks about sports and boring stuff.

Harvey was the first NPC I have met in my first game ever and I immediately fell in love with him.
Anyway Sam feels like a portion of fresh air to me and he is my favourite husband now but sometimes I marry Harvey.Shane was the worst one for me and I divorced him after a month. I find him terrible as husband and I also find his room terrible. I do not understand why his room on the farm is more dirty and messy than in Marie's house.

I usually marry Penny. Emily is a bit too spiritual for me. Haley is cool, but somehow I could never bring myself up to date her. Abigail and Maru seem a bit too young for me (I'm in my 40s). And Leah shares her name with my real life sister, so thats off the table.

There is a little detail, that I just discovered. On my latest farm my farmer (once again) dated Penny. When you talk to Maru after proposing to Penny, she will mention how she remembers how Penny first told her that she developed feelings for your character. Its not a big thing or anything, but I thought that it is a neat detail.

anw, the reason I married Sam for the second time is because I learned that Sam helped a lot more compared to Sebastian! he also give more gifts and random furniture unlike Seb who only gave me one table after 3 years of marriage :(

That's just RNG at work; no one is programmed that way. They do give different gifts, but no one will give more or less than another - it's just down to random chance.
Spouse "help" on the farm is completely useless if you have sprinklers, deluxe coops and barns, and either use no fences or have the golden clock. Therefore, I'd rather that none of them waste their time, and pick Krobus instead.

I dunno if it's 'cuz I'm focusing on him, but he's also the third easiest one to gain hearts with (next to Shane and Alex)
I know what everyone else's Heart Events look like 'cuz youtube, but none of them stuck with me like Sam's
Also it amuses me everytime to seem him get up at 10AM most days, and early when it's the weekends. Gotta love a guy who knows sleep is a priority
