where should i invest my money

yo can u help me i have 50k to burn
The advice in this thread mostly holds true, and the clarifications needed are the same. What season, and what are you working with?

Two areas where I disagree however-
1) Crops don’t make the most money. Machines do. A keg can earn you over 200g/day. Crops other than ancient fruit cap out around 25. Of course you need crops to feed machines, but in terms of what to prioritize, unless you’ve got so many machines that even processing 100% of what you’re growing machines are sitting idle, more machines > more crops.

2) Chickens are actually the most profitable coop animal (I forget whether that’s only with making Mayo and artisan or what but I suspect it doesn’t matter) so if you’re looking for more cash, more chickens is a fine way to go.

Anyway look through the existing responses, give us what season you’re at, what machines and animals you have, whether you have access to the desert and so forth and we’ll go from there. Hope that helps!

7K gold will get you decent crops. If you are looking for proffit -> spring POTATOES!!!! 50G buying price 80 Selling and cauliflower 100G buying price and 125 selling price. Summer -> starfruit buying price 500 selling around 750 gold if rurned into wine around 1000 and iriduim quality is worth around 1500 per bottle if i remember. also Blueberrys and hot peppers are you friend. -> Fall rare seeds (sweet gem berry) buy for 1000 sell for around 1750. My numbers might be off but I know its the most expensive and profitiable crop in the game. Not a fruit or vegie so cant turn it into wine or anything like that.
Your math is very off for starfruit.
First of all the seeds for starfruit cost 400 and while they do net you about 750 at base price, the wine sells for 3150g each and iridium is 6300g.
Rare seeds also net you about double what you stated and are not at all worth it for a fall crop, pumpkins when kegged/jarred and cranberries too.
Potatoes are a pretty good spring crop though do them at the beginning of spring then invest in strawberries. 120 strawberries is easy to water even with basic watering can and unless you get the 30 deluxe speed gro, you don't even have to water them every day.
I am also aware I am replying to a necroed post and not to the person who necroed it.
Good luck.

Chickens for early game,
Golden chickens are obviously more profitable per tile and most likely pigs too.
Good luck.

idk what to buy next with my coins :grumpy: I'm sorta flat broke so maybe something that will get me more money back idK I've been broke for a while now
I just,,,, am not good at money management LOL

I could prolly save up for:
-more farm buildings/animals
-nursery uwu
-jojamart upgrade things
-a crap ton of seeds from Pierre's shop

what dost thou thinketh ?
What Year in the game are you on? If you aren't past the point where Robin and Clint Increase their prices I would buy lots of copper and iron for lots of kegs in the future. I made 60M one time cause I had 4 sheds full of kegs and I saved up the wine before I sold it. Ancient Fruit Of course. Kegs are so OP

Absolutely, Golden Chickens are more profitable in all ways vs regular chickens, it's just that to get them someone must have already spent in the neighborhood of 15 million, so those with access to them are not what I normally think of in my target audience for a response to a question of 'hey I have 50k, what should I invest in to make more money' Pigs are also more profitable, per tile, per day, in every metric you can think of. They're just not coop animals.

Yeah, for the early game animals, pigs win in GpT in every case.

My keg production is generally limited to my oak resin production more than my copper and iron. I try to have a stand of 30 oak trees at least planted by the end of the first week in Spring so that, hopefully, by Summer I'll have them all tapped and producing 30 oak resin per week. I can trivially gain more than 150 copper and iron ore per week in the mines, so the limiting factor at least for me personally is the weekly production of oak resin. Even if I start Summer 1 with a full stand of 30 oak trees tapped, that's only 120 kegs able to be produced by the end of the season simply due to oak resin shortages. Unfortunately, oak resin harvesting is more difficult to scale than almost any other continuously needed resource. About the best way I've found is to hit Foraging 7 for Tree Fertilizer and unlock the Quarry, turning it into a very large tree stand.
