I always find the selection of crops you can grow is kind of absurd judging from they are literally produce from all over the world, but then the villagers in pelican town are mostly on a western-ish diet (well maybe not sashimi, but that plate of sashimi looks more like an American sashimi which is a germ fest to me)Don't forget about the Desert Festival, there's this crazy cook with his crazy meals, which are always helpful for Marlons quests...
But why not see it the other way round? You never see anyone else eating except the Governor, they just sit/stand at their full tables and stare at the meals or talk about what they should have for diner tonight... I mostly feel sorry for that and go home to cook something nice for myself.

Yes, the selection of crops ist quite interesting and since Pelican Town ist said to be located at the southern coast of Ferngill Republic, the Summers are probably hot enough to grow exotic crops. If you want it more IRL, maybe use the Greenhouse for Banana, Mango and Ananas. And the recipes are similar and cover the crops quite good, I think.I always find the selection of crops you can grow is kind of absurd judging from they are literally produce from all over the world, but then the villagers in pelican town are mostly on a western-ish diet (well maybe not sashimi, but that plate of sashimi looks more like an American sashimi which is a germ fest to me)
My strange head cannon is all these crops are genetically modified and if even if the game gives me a choice I probably will click no![]()

Hey hey hey, watch how you talk about my man Gus' food, he's an excellent chefMy headcannon is the food looks so unappetising that my farmer would rather not partake, I’m a visual person![]()
He wouldn't serve crap, he's a professional. He has standards.Hey hey hey, watch how you talk about my man Gus' food, he's an excellent chef
We eat algae soup. That couldn't be worse that festival food.Farmer doesn't want to have bad breath when they smooch Leah/Emily/Sebastian/Whoever later.
Algae soup also probably isn't going to put Leah off, either. Cruelty-free, low environmental impact, efficient use of a resource, quite possibly thinks more highly of the farmer if we've got algae soup on our breath. We eat algae soup. That couldn't be worse that festival food.
Yeah, but Haley?Algae soup also probably isn't going to put Leah off, either. Cruelty-free, low environmental impact, efficient use of a resource, quite possibly thinks more highly of the farmer if we've got algae soup on our breath.

It’s a liked gift for almost everyone as well. They all just want any hot meal. What about the dreaded Kris Dreemurr special, Moss Stew?![]()
I'm deeply concerned for the health of Pelican Town. My point is, it can't be that we're conscious of our breath, otherwise Moss wouldn't be edible. It’s a liked gift for almost everyone as well. They all just want any hot meal.
Exactly, he's a business man with a business to run, he doesn't have time for thisHe wouldn't serve crap, he's a professional. He has standards.
You're mistaking it, drinking a whole jar of mayo is the palate cleanserMaybe it cleanses the palate after chugging a jar of mayo.
