What would your personal Stardew Valley NPC be like?

Assuming you aren't the farmer (unless you actually are a farmer IRL), what would your NPC character be like?

  • 📍 Location: Where do you live or hang out the most?

  • :boot:Occupation&Role: What do you do all day?

  • Friends&:heartrip:Enemies: Which current villagers would you hang out with, and who would you clash with?

  • :stardrop:Your Storyline and Conflict: What are you struggling with, and what happens in your heart events?✍

  • Details: Anything else: likes, dislikes, quirks, etc.:junicheer:
No, idk what some of these emojis have to do with anything, but I didn’t know what to pick.

Can’t wait to read about your character!:duck:

Cuddlebug

Farmer
Well, I think my character would be a woman in her late 20ies, maybe born somewhere around the valley but grown up in the city for reasons. Strongly interested in archaeology and palaentology, maybe a Student to Gunther, who's an ex-history Professor. They both had some Projects in Gotoro Empire, but the war ended them and so they somehow got stuck in Pelican Town. She would care for the library and try to restore the Museum collection and also help Professor Snail exploring Ginger Island. She would have Clint to tell her all about where to find minerals and also Marlon to teach her defense against monsters. Maybe she'll hang around with Penny, Maru, Seb and Elliott, because they all love books and reading, just like her. She loves animals and ancient creatures, so gifting her a Dino Egg would be a big joy for her. Or some rare flowers. She lives in a tiny little flat at the Museums Attic or in a cabin somewhere around in Cindersap Forest. Doesn't get along great with the Gossip girls and Lewis, just because... Her dream would be to finish the research projects she had put on hold and write her dissertation (or marry a rich, overworked farmer and focus on cleaning the house, doing the laundry and raise kids... No, just kidding). She's likes exploring the valley, the Secret Woods, the desert and is very annoyed bc the bus isn't in charge anymore. But I can imagine her having a bike or a little car to go around or maybe have Seb taking her somewhere... Calico Desert at night might be pretty romantic. No idea about Heart Events yet...

I love this! Can we add you for real? That would be a great addition to the valley!

There was a character is the Harvest Moon series who was an archaeologist —Flora.

I’d be a botanically-minded person, into foraging, and herb medicines, living in a little cabin near the spring onions plot. Being close neighbors with Leah and Marnie I’d also be friends with them, which would also make it easier to get through Shane’s curmudgeonly shell. Demetrius and I would collaborate on something or other, and I’d also get along well with Robin and Maru. Linus and I would trade foraging and herbology tips. Harvey and I would have some kind of detente, but wouldn’t be close. Same with Jodi and Kent. Emily and I would be friends, because how could you not?
Storyline, hmm, I’ll have to think on that. How would I relate to this farmer who’s suddenly grubbing up tose onions and nabbing the leeks before I can get to them?

daily schedule would probably involve working a mind numbing dead end shift with Shane and Sam at JojaMart. Saturday or Sunday morning would be my "shopping day" at Pierre's. goes to the saloon on one of the quiet nights rather than Friday.

likely wouldn't even say anything (just "......") until at least, oh, say, 4 hearts.

Unlike player me, who never misses it and always finds a partner (usually Haley), NPCme would probably no-show The Flower Dance [many villagers have one festival they "skip"] and conspicuously avoid Haley in general.

Neutral on all movies, hates all "universal loved" items just to be contrarian [but, like Penny, would like all artifacts and love all books. Probably some cooked dishes too, like Pizza and Fish Taco.]

would live far away from most of the town, which might consequently put me near Leah or Elliot or even Clint, so let's call them NPCme's friends along with Shane and Sam. Might get along with George, because he's also such a curmudgeon.

early Fall birthday, possibly even Fall 1.

i'm sure the heart event crisis would have something to do with being able to quit the JojaMart job (maybe get hired to assist with the farm? i like the ducks.)

I would be a woman in her late twenties, with cropped kinda messy teal hair. I would be a forensic pathologist at the Clinic working with Harvey, handling the corpses. I would go to the library every weekday after work, then chill at the saloon on weekend nights. I would always be down at the beach whenever it rains, and would only ever go to Ginger Island if Gus was there so I could buy Piña Coladas.

Would hang out with Maru, Abigail, Gunther and my boy Krobus.
Loves books on monsters and combat like Abigail, but wouldn’t mind the Queen of Sauce one. Loves Maple Bun, Survival Burger, Mead, Piña Colada, Tom Kha Soup, and Rice Pudding, plus all the expensive minerals.

Would live in the heart of town, near the Saloon and Pierre’s.

STAY AWAY FROM THE KIDS. “YOU SMELL LIKE GRASS” YEAH WELL YOU SMELL LIKE A—

Loves all the horror movies, loves magic rock candy, chocolate popcorn, fries, personal pizza, cotton candy and sour slimes
Likes the educational one and the western, likes salmon burger, truffle popcorn, star cookie, cappuccino mousse cake
Hates the sappy Christmas one, Wumbus and the noir one, hates everything else.

Happy Stardew-ing!

Eric Keene

Eric Keene returns to Stardew Valley carrying more than his grandfather’s farm deed.

As a child, Eric remembered Pelican Town as warmth, festivals, dirt roads, and Grandpa Peter’s laughter. It was the place where summer visits felt larger than life and family still seemed like something that could hold together if everyone simply stayed in the same room long enough. But adulthood has changed the shape of those memories. By the time Eric comes back, Pelican Town is no longer just a place from his childhood. It is an inheritance, a refuge, and a question he does not yet know how to answer.

Eric is awkward, exhausted, and more observant than he gives himself credit for. He has a habit of turning work into shelter: farming, mining, errands, repairs, donations, anything that lets him keep moving instead of sitting still with what he feels. He is not naturally heroic in any polished sense. He says the wrong thing, overthinks kindness, apologizes too late, and often mistakes endurance for emotional stability. But beneath that messiness is something solid. Eric cares deeply, sometimes before he understands that he does, and once someone becomes important to him, he struggles to let their pain remain distant.

His relationships in Pelican Town reveal different sides of him. Emily brings out his need for gentleness, comfort, and trust. Shane forces him to confront resentment, damage, and the ugly places where pity and anger overlap. Penny draws him toward the town’s buried history and the cost of asking questions people would rather leave unanswered. Gunther, Lewis, and the memory of Grandpa Peter all complicate Eric’s understanding of legacy: what is preserved, what is hidden, and what a person inherits without ever agreeing to carry it.

Eric’s central conflict is not simply whether he can rebuild a farm. It is whether he can become someone who belongs somewhere without disappearing into obligation, guilt, or work. Stardew Valley offers him a second chance, but it also refuses to let him stay innocent. The more he tries to understand the town, the more he realizes that coming home may mean learning what home was really built on.
