What to do with 12,000 gold? (First Spring)

@Slimeglasses: Egg festival has already passed, it's the last day of Spring.

@Starry Junimo: I grinded fishing to reach level 6 to get the bait maker, bought the fiberglass rod ASAP, egg festival came I bought as many as I could, sold the gold and silver quality Strawberries once they harvested, and made the rest into jelly. Selling gems and anything extra that I didn't really need. Once I reached level 6 fishing I got pretty lucky with rainy day weather and fished up Catfish.

I was wanting some opinions what to do with the gold.

I have the Pickaxe upgraded to Copper and I have the first backpack upgrade.

I was wondering either tools, house upgraded to kitchen, or coop/barn. Probably Coop or Barn, but I was wanting opinions here.
I’m impressed how far along you are for spring year 1! I’d hold off on animals a tad longer, they cost a lot to buy their building, them and their hay and all. Strawberries at egg festival is good, or even keep doing just what you are doing and upgrade axe and pick axe to steel. The strawberries are great for early cash, but they are best planted the following spring on day one, for maximum profits from them. I’d buy 30-40 strawberries and plant them now and save the rest of your money to upgrade tools. If you like to forage or mine you can but the largest backpack and still get twenty strawberries to plant now or later. No need to rush too fast, or make lots of money all at once, enjoy the whole Stardew experience a long the way too!
