What is the first thing you do when starting a new save?

Clear up some space in front of the farm. Chop down trees for enough wood for a chest to dump my stuff in. Plant and water some parsnips. Head into town, buy eight tulips and then a little bit of everything because I don't know what the remixed bundles will give me, talk to everyone I can find casually to make progress on the introductions quest. Do a loop for foraging for the spring foraging bundle. Go back to the farm, plant a row of tulips in front of my house and the other seeds with my actual crops. If I have time, scythe up some weeds for mixed seeds and try to get them planted as well. Go to bed and dream of how much fishing the next few days will entail.

For a new save, hmm I guess plant as soon as possible the seeds I have, clean the area I'll use the next days, go and find quickly interesting stuff to give as a gifts to Leah, Penny and Haley (it's spring so the gifts are fine this season, so the next months I can marry the first to achieve the necessary hearts 😅 ), and get wood from the farm for the upgrades; being full productive until I get tired. Always trying a start similar of what I do on Minecraft.
For my current save, everyday I start watering the plants that I have inside in the second floor, then give a hug/talk to "my children" and Penny (and give her a breakfast or something nice that I found the previous day, I wish I can give gifts to my children), make some coffees with the machines and finally go out to do the daily activities.

1. Clear space between Farmhouse and closest pond.
2. Hoe and plant 15 Parsnips near pond for quick water fillups
3. Go to Town and spend all g on Cauli seeds and plant those too*
4. Greet everyone I see, Forage, give Caroline a Daffodil if I find one
5. Grab Spring Onions from Cindersap
6. Chop Trees (but not stumps) in Cindersap heading towards home until almost exhausted
7. On the way back clear a path from S Farm exit to Farmhouse using remaining Energy, supplement E with Onions if needed

* Cross fingers that no Crows eat anything

If you don't mind me asking, why tulips?

Clear space close to the house for planting. Forage and chop trees, aiming for the 300 wood to fix the bridge as soon as possible, and to hit level 1 Foraging to get tree seeds and the field snack crafting recipe. Craft a chest. Go to the beach as often as possible, collect all the shells & coral and sell them, aiming for the first backpack upgrade because I neeeeeeeeeed more carrying space. :toothy:

edit: more foraging and tree chopping to hit level 4 Foraging before salmonberry season, for the +1 wild berry bonus. Harvest as many of them as possible, good for food even if you have to eat a lot. Then once Preserve Jars are available I'll make a bunch of jelly as gift stock and keep it on me to hand out, as almost everyone likes it. Though Linus gets whatever foragables are nearby because he loves them, they're right there, and he's usually the first person I get 5 hearts with. 😆

Trash the parsnip seeds. Focus on wood and stone for sale. Get fishing ASAP. Focus on museum until I get sewer key. Buy iridium sprinklers from Krobus. Plant seeds Gunther gave me as donation premiums. It's shocking how fast those things will build your farming experience.

The last couple of saves I've just gone straight to sleeping, waking up on winter 1st to start some winter forage farming in order to get to the island quicker

Maybe not the most exciting but I can't help but love the tropics
