Yes they requested an account deletion. I have found that sometimes when you need to make a break with something from the past-- when you really NEED to make that break. Well you need to break with some positive things too as they're too intertwined. That said, you will always have the option to return with another name and enjoy the fruits of the same community at that point in the future when you're ready.

LOL which always reminds me of a throwaway line from a throwaway nostalgia TV movie based on a mediocre TV show from 2 decades earlier. I Dream of Jeannie, 15 Years Later, plot machinations means all memories of Jeannie are wiped from Major Nelson's memory (ah, TV tropes!). Final scene, Jeannie walking down a sidewalk and says the following line while you slowly realize that the person walking the opposite way towards her is Major Nelson:

"Haji made me agree to an ending... he never said there couldn't be a new beginning."

You can always choose to make a new beginning.

I just cannot accept they asked for deleting their accounts.
It the accounts still exist, at least they can come back to chat with us from time to time.
Or I can put my cursor on their profile photos to find back the memories between us.

Perhaps it is a ritual to wipe up the memory with or without happiness.
