1.6 Update What happened in your game today?

So it's Spring Y5 now. First thing I did was pet all my animals and open their doors. Then I removed some of the stray green grass that had grown overnight, so my farm is once again just covered in blue grass.
Then I harvested my fiber, put down a ton of deluxe speed grow and planted as many of my accumulated seeds as I could on my small(ish) plot. That took care of that day.

Day 2 I once again took care of all the animals, then decided to go to Ginger Island to play around in the volcano a bit. It was an extremely lucky day. Found two Deluxe treasure chests on Level 3. One had a deluxe pirate hat, and one had the mermaid boots I was hoping for. I also managed to collect a tiger hat, which I only noticed when I was trying to empty a few slots in my inventory for magma caps.
Since I have over 200 bottles of mystic syrup, I took some with me instead of food - turned out I didn't need it, as these first few levels also had a lot of magma caps.

I kind of like the slower gameplay of being a shepherd instead of an artisan. I don't have as many kegs, and I'm not too stressed about keeping up with the wine production.

Kate turned over the blue jazz (still not the right color), and got an extended family quest so after the chores went legend 2 fishing and caught 7 in one afternoon (two of them were free extras from wild bait). We'll see how many I can get, destined for the smoker. Although, I have 182 million G in the bank and who knows how many million in stored products, so even a couple hundred thousand doesn't really even register anymore. It's interesting how the gameplay progresses ... at the very beginning 100 G seems like a lot!

Yeah! Especially on low profit margin. I also notice myself almost never checking how much money I have further in the game. Nearing perfection (but not nearing your numbers) it's often just "enough for the obelisk" or "not enough for the obelisk".

Almost at the end of year 15. The diamond chest is full and mining professions have been changed in preparation to sell the contents. In year 16, that chest will be turned over to house something else.

On a side note, a song I remembered made contemplate making a save with a male farmer named Harald. Probably won't follow through on that small urge. The first two verses of the rhymed lampoon praise Harald's ability to drink and fight. Third indicates that he's not interested in women. The fourth warns farmers to lock up their sheep... I think that song may be part of why I've never had a farm with sheep on it.

4 little things today. And by "today" I mean in the last few weeks. In no particular order:

I couldn't find Linus at first. Finally found him hangin' out up near the summit. I know it's a common bug on mobile or with mods, but I play on Playstation so I was quite surprised.

I beat my Personal Best in Junimo Kart, with 12 lives remaining upon completion. It wasn't long ago that I dismissed this game as impossible, but now it's trivial to beat it. Practice makes perfect!

I caught 8 big slimy fish! I doubt 9 is possible, so I guess I won't try anymore.

Year 74 and I'm now noticing a suspicious package in the jungle. I'm not touching it. It's clearly a trap!
