1.6 Update What happened in your game today?

Diego bought the clock of conspicuous consumption and plunked it down on Mausoleum Island with Lewis' monument to narcissism. He should probably move the Pop Machine of oligarchy out of the mine entrance and put it on the other side of the Mausoleum.

He picked up Elliot's Pencil at the desert festival, a galaxy dagger at the guild, upgraded the dagger to Infinity and skinned it with the pencil. Went to dangerous Skull mines and gave bunches of flying serpents graphite poisoning like you wouldn't believe. He'd like to enchant it with either bug killer or crusader. Probably Bug Killer because "stabbity stabbity stabbity SQUISH!" sounds like fun.
Love the way you wrote that. Giving monsters graphite poisoning does sound fun.

Replaced the last of the gold quality mayo, the strawberry jelly, the pale ale and the mango jelly. Now dried common mushrooms are the lowest value stacks in the stack chest. I have to admit that I like this little game I play with myself to see if I can replace all stacks with a value of less than 500,000 before the end of year 8. (10 down, 14 to go, about 9 weeks left of the year)

Of course, having to sell the removed stacks and any new too-low-value stacks messes with my intent to stay "poor". One day saw me with a 7-digit sale because of that, which I see as incredibly much during the first three or four years.

Been thinking about Mr. Qi and Grandpa preferring a fair and old-fashioned running of the farm, and I've come to realize that maybe it's a bit too rigid.

For instance, I have finished 27 Summer Year 2 and after nearly a year, I have yet to see a single rabbit foot in my coop. I used the predictor to get one from the cart so I could still complete the cc in under 1 year. Mostly due to the conveniences of the mine cart and greenhouse and whatnot.

I also use the predictor to get exactly what I need or want from geodes and mystery boxes, not to mention when the theater crane game is free, and more.

So yeah, I feel a little less ashamed of spamming a measley 2 auto-petters. Especially since some of my skull Caverns runs got me upwards of 3 auto-GRABBERS (not all in 1 run, though).

Surplus Legend II roe reached the level where I let the pickle shed take care of 128 of them. And decided that I had to reduce the stacks of hops by letting Ginger Island kegs make pale ale for a while. Took out the four least valuable fruit trees in the greenhouse and planted banana trees instead. Time for the Dance of the Moonlight Jellies.

I finished installing my fish ponds. Put Legend II in the last one, it should be turning green tomorrow.

If I move things around a bit, there may be room for one or two more, but I think I like the look of what I have now. I have all the legendary fish, plus Ms Angler (love the pink) and Legend II (love the valuable roe).
Son of Crimsonfish, Glacierfish Jr and the Radioactive Carp are in fishtanks inside the house and the GI farm house.

I have to say the slimejack looks more radiactive than the mutant/radiocative carp. LOL!!

I spent two game days just messing around with paths and fences.

Upper left corner cranberry.jpg

I have confirmed that the single upper leftmost cranberry crop marked by the white X is somehow not being harvested by the junimo hut nearby, but every single crop near it is.

Any idea why that is?

sometimes i skip my chores if a certain day is upon us. especially coops. The eggs can wait
I too skip the coops if there's too much other stuff. The kegs, preserve jars, and mushroom logs are a different beast though. Winning a prize ticket isn't worth delaying any of those production cycles by a day. I'm also maxed out on friendship with everyone, so the ice festival is all about losing 10-13 hours for a prize ticket.

The night market on the other hand... was mostly spent fishing using wild bait. Feast of the Winter Star coming up. Will probably participate even if I already have the Tea Set.

All you have said to me is that humanity is more important than money, more or less.

I will take care of my chores, personally speaking, but some days i don't feel like stressing myself out. Certain chores can be overlooked and delayed. Coops and orchards are a big one that can easily be delayed, even if you have to harvest orchards a day early. I was just talking to my current co op partner recently and told her that i occassionally go weeks without checking on my rabbit coop because it's okay. They will be fine. As long as the auto feeder is working properly there's nothing to worry about, and you need an auto feeder in order to even access rabbits.
As for Industrial chores on the farm. They normally don't take that long, and i will be late to the party (fashionably) as long as i remember it's happening. My co op partner got on me twice in the first year because i missed 2 festivals because i'm not used to going to them, or forget the ending time and get caught up in my chores. It doesn't happen often, but it does occur. I'm bad at math.

As for the night market, i skip it. Every time. Cluttering up my docks and moving my chests and making it so i can only find trash in the water...

The absolute F***ng rudest. Harumph >_<

I skip coops too often - sometimes I can't even walk in them any more because of all the eggs. (Until I get an autograbber, of course.)

I sometimes skip kegs and jars, too. In my previous farm I had a small shed with 60 kegs for aged roe, and I had a few hundred kegs between my regular farm and the GI farm. I just didn't always have the time. Or the right fruit. Somehow my kegs always ended up being a day ahead of the harvest...
If I have time, I brew coffee or tea while waiting for the harvest. If I don't have time for that, the kegs just sit there for a day while I do other stuff.

I attend the festivals in the first few years, normally. After year 2 I'm usually too busy with my farm.
And prize tickets lose their value once you have chests overflowing with bombs and more sprinklers than you could ever need... Not to mention the jungle created by all those house plants that Lewis keeps stuffing into that machine!
