1.6 Update What happened in your game today?

Went to Clint with golden coconuts, artifact troves, and omni geodes, using the predictor to only get mahogany seeds from the coconuts. The other two didn't matter as much, but I tried to pick ones that stacked, like I'd rather pick another three stones than an artifact I didn't already have in my backpack. Took over 100 openings before I had opened all 14 coconuts. Would definitely repeat it. Of course, now I've got more mahogany seeds than acorns, but that feels like a smaller problem.

Added 33 outdoor kegs to Ginger Island, and stuffed them with hops. Also got a bunch of honey to turn into mead, but that's for later, I guess.

Started pickling my taro roots, having decided to avoid most of the Qi quests, or rather not bother with completing them anymore.

Tried to rush through the farm chores during the Desert Festival, but still only managed to get there around 2 am. The mushroom/roe shed is one chore I won't skip, since it can mean a payday of over 600,000 G. Still got a decent haul with enough calico eggs to buy just about whatever I wanted.

Picked up an Extended Family quest, and debating whether to go to the flower dance today, or to go fishing for Legend II... I do have enough fish for the remaining ponds I can squeeze into the quarry, so I guess dance it is.

I started a new save, and I'm having trouble with the remixed fish bundles. I just can't seem to get a gold-star walleye.... And I'm running out of time.

So now I'm concentrating on buying the vault bundles, but I don't really feel like waiting a full year to get that stupid fish. I need a regular one and a gold-star one. I only had very few rainy days in fall, I even restarted them a few times, but somehow the stupid walleyes don't seem to like my bait. Never had that problem before (this is my sixth save in 1.6).

I'm talking myself into getting a JoJa membership once I've finished the vault. It shouldn't be too hard to get the money for the membership and the boulder removal. (Not as hard as getting two walleyes (one gold) and an eel. LOL!!)
(I did complete all the other bundles, I just have the vault and the fishtank left to do, but it's the end of fall, there's no more rainy days.)

Seems like you need some rain totems. I tend to get too many of them in the treasure rooms in the Skull Cavern. But of course, with those treasure rooms, you never seem to get what you hope to get.

Doing a similar thing right now, not buying any seeds from Pierre, Joja or Night market (possibly oasis too, I'll decide when I get to it). Also put a restriction on ranching bc if crop farming is limited, animals gotta be too. Also my first time playing on 25% margin (or anything other than 100%), its been interesting so far!

I finished the vault bundles, so now I can go to the desert. Wish I had a shard, I'm a bit scared to go into the skull caverns without my galaxy sword... (I have a tempered broadsword at the moment).

Still thinking about doing JoJa for the last bit, though. It's a tough choice, as I do like completing the CC, and I know it matters for grandpa's evaluation (attending that ceremony and getting that award is 2 points that you can't get with JoJa).
On the other hand, I do like the town with JoJa in place (and open late), and the movie theatre looks great on the CC spot. Also, Pierre could use the competition... :evil:
The rewards I'd miss are a glow ring (I already have one, and a glowstone ring) and 5 dish-of-the-sea. Doesn't seem worth the wait...

Decisions, decisions...

If you can afford it, you could buy a lava katana at the Adventurer's Guild. Better damage, faster swing, and still getting a defense boost.

Running around like a wagtail (to slightly mistranslate a Swedish saying by using a specific bird rather than the unspecified group of passeriformes) with too many chicks to feed, picking up and depositing stuff. Filled the last line in the mushroom/roe shed with dehydrators as the common mushrooms were starting to pile up. Of course, they've had a lot of help from rainy days, so I might find that I'll need a few more mushroom logs later. About to head off to the Luau, to make sure the soup tastes good.

So, I was still waffling about whether to go JoJa or not, and then Emily made me this new outfit, which seems to indicate I should go blue, so I did...

Note I'm not wearing the turban, that was just a bit too much... :laugh:

I guess now I will have to grind for the movie theatre, to get rid of the guilt I'm feeling for the poor community center...

As usual, I spent the green rain day gathering moss, running around until 2 am. Thanks to having the Haymaker enchantment on my sword, I also stocked up about one silo's worth of hay.

Out of space in the "stack" chest. Guess I'll have to start selling off some of the lower value stacks to make space for better stuff. *tallies* Value before selling off the two worst were about 118.6 million. I doubt I'll be able to max out on the chest's value (sure, smoked Legend II is worth more but I can't mass-produce it like I can with the aged Legend II roe), but it'll be fun to see how close I can get.

ETA: Almost time for the Dance of the Moonlight Jellies and then planting for Fall.

So yesterday I found a prismatic shard in a totally random mystery stone. After looking all over for it for weeks...
Of course, the RNG being what it is, I found one today by slaying a random monster, then found one in a geode while trying to get the last few of my museum minerals.
Another monster dropped the last iridium bar I need for Willy's boat, so it was a good day!
