1.6 Update What happened in your game today?

completed fish tank, vault, and crafts room, quality fertilizer makes it so much easier to get gold quality veggies. Completed the remixed helper's bundle in the bulletin board and got rewarded with stardrop tea! And this is literally so annoying because my beans are so close to getting mature and they're not ready to harvest yet! :enraged:

Cool! How did you survive so long? I keep dying.
For the non hardmode? I did a lot of dodging as I wanted to get Fectors (I did in the end) and prioritized getting coins and power ups to make the game less difficult. As for upgrades I went two damage upgrades (Ammo box) and two fire rate upgrades (revolver) to help with fighting enemies. I also got boots for speed to help with dodging and evading as enemies become numerous later on.

Once at hard mode I prioritized getting the damage upgrade as things start having more health and then went for fire rate. Once both upgrades are maxed a permanent upgrade called the "super-gun" becomes available which allows you to shoot in three directions in a triangular formation. This upgrade is costly as it costs 99 coins but it's worth it

As for tips currently there isn't much I can say as it is difficult to describe:
- You can shoot diagonally by pressing two keys adjacent to each other (Example pressing up and left shoots upper corner) You cannot do up + down and left + right at the same time.
- Get coins as you can. They help with upgrades
-Know which stages with upgrades. Stages 1-2, 1-4, 2-1, 2-3, 3-1 and 3-3 have upgrades available to buy. I generally buy at stages 1-2, 2-4, 3-1 and 3-3 for damage and fire rate. 2-1 and 2-3 I buy only if I have sufficient money. If not I get boots as 3-1 drops alot of coins
- Prioritize which upgrades to get. I often do damage over fire rate and speed. Boots (Speed) are least of my concern
- Value your lives. They don't drop often. Dodge as much as you can. Shoot at much enemies present as early as possible so that you don't get overwhelmed. Later stages you can get overwhelmed quite easily
- Prioritize which power-ups to keep. Best to keep are tombstone and sheriff. Sheriff makes you a bullet hell at the front. Tombstone turns you into a zombie and you can still shoot in this mode. I recommend using a screen nuke (Looks like a bomb) only if you're overwhelmed. Enemies killed by the nuke drop nothing which can hamper your progress in terms of upgrades

played again today, it was the end of the desert festival, nearly died in skull cavern fighting off two flying serpents. I didn't get skull key yet, sadly, so I can't go back anytime soon...

got two instant pancakes, my cat gave me a periwinkle, I would have made a strange bun and become friends with Vincent so I could get that statue but noo I don't have the strange bun recipe so I was stuck with just selling it because my fridge ran out of room. but at least i have good strawberries. Did anyone else get the golden bobber yet for willy? whenever I feel like I hooked on a scorpion carp it's always a plain old sandfish. 🍓 I even crafted an extra scarecrow and got an iridium sprinkler from krobus.

also in the desert festival from sandy and emily you can get a million different suits. But the cutscene's pretty boring so I just skip it almost every time. Because of the festival I now have two hair bones. Anyone got the clothesline? Also, why is the scholar's quiz so easy? Two times in a row the answer was fall. He thinks I can't catch salmon? Buh.
