Pumpkin! Most g per tile, very Autumny/Fallyy, can go into Jars to be pickled so Haley has something to buy at the store, can be made into a
Jack-O-Lantern which then can be Tailored into
a cool Spirit's Eve mask!

And if you're super lucky you might get one of these:

But to be fair, There's nothing quite like Iridium Scything a field fulla these:

Not only because of that color but also the pop pop-pop-poppopoooppopopopoppop-pop pop-pop pop sound.
Sweet music!

Pumpkin is great. It's not better than cranberries for money unless if you keg them, in which case they are so much better. Cranberries are basically infeasible to process it into an artisan good. And pumpkin seeds are cheap, cranberries are.. 3x that if I remember right. So even if you don't care for artisan, you could be poor but pumpkin won't let you down.

That said Autumn is the last season that I care about seasonal crops for money. Starting year 2, the only crop being planted is ancient fruit or nothing at all. Summer: starfruit or nothing. Autumn: nothing. Or instead of nothing, a handful of crops or flowers just to sit there and look pretty until the next season.

I'm trying to train myself to not grow all the available crops every season. A favorite crop of Fall is the Fairy Rose, because of its purple varieties. For the same reason I like to grow amaranth. And cranberries, for the regrowth and multitude of berries. Towards the end of the season, bok choy and wheat becomes a favorite for their short growth time.

The other crops are merely nice and makes me want to include them for various reasons.

By the time you get to Fall, you are likely stocking up on Pumpkins, which honestly sell for massive tons of money. Cranberries are more consistent overall, but Pumpkins really give you an explosive amount of money, made even better with Kegs as they have a nice 720g. Not as good as Starfruit, Ancient Fruit, Sweet Gem Berries, Pineapples and Rhubarb but still very good. Only problem is that you can’t put Juice in casks.

Yessss, pumpkins forever

Cranberries also have the dehydrators on their side now, so it's definitely tempting, but I'd never turn my back on my triple harvest pumpkins, especially not when I can get some giants crops randomly, too

Cranberries. The reason why they're my favorite is you get SO MANY if you have a large crop field. I actually have too much, because I don't have a lot of dehydrators and they are also used for other things. (This doesn't worry me, because I get more than enough money elsewhere, and I don't really need money anymore). Right now I have a couple thousand just sitting in a chest waiting to be dehydrated.

Cranberries. My field has 432 of them, and they're wonderful for reasons already stated (no need to replant, sell for a lot, fun to harvest, delicious in real-life [both the cultivated variety in North America and the wild variety in northern Europe]). They also don't benefit from any Speed-Gro, which is a plus in my book.

I haven't tried drying them, but I should.

Tough question. Autumn is by far my favorite season, but I can't tell what crop would be my favorite... It would depend on what criteria we are considering. As an example, Ancient Fruit is available during Autumn and is obviously one of the best choice regarding money making (if not the best one), yet, I'm not very fond of this crop for aesthetic reasons or growth time.

As such, I usually grow all kind of crops during Autumn (with the exception of Sweet Gem Berry), just for the fun/beauty of it, even though some crops are not really used in my production flows.

Still, I would say that my favorite crop in Autumn is sunflower. I simply love so much to have a full square crop of those blooming in the falling leaves.
