You do have to put it into the context of him being a child of something like 5-8 years old, as Ereo already stated the concept of married, who's already married, etc. isn't really developed at all, to a child marriage could be any spectrum of the things they see around them and merely something they want to have or do, there isn't any deeper fundamental concepts of what marriage entails to them.
