1.6 Update Version mismatch

We can't join multiplayer with my friend (Steam, 1.6.2 build 24081, same OS, same language, and any other variable.) because of a version mismatch error. I am playing from Microsoft/Xbox and my version is 1.6.2 build 24082. We did everything that we could but couldn't make it the same. Should we wait for a hotfix or is there any action that we can take? Thx

just had this problem with pc. we both had to uninstall/reinstall our games and joining co-op worked. hope this helps!

I'm having the same problem, my friend plays on Xbox Gamepass, and I play on Steam. build numbers do not match. Isn't there a way to fix this from the game files?
